DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  LUKE 24:46-48

(46)  And said unto them,  Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day;
(47)  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
(48)  And ye are witnesses of these things.

HIS FAITHFULNESS!

(46)  And said unto them,  Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day;  Brethren,  after Jesus rose again from the death, he appeared unto his disciples, stood among them, minister and ate with them; then opened up their understanding to know entirely what was going on in his ministry, when he was with them, that they might understand the scriptures; Jesus said unto them,  "This is what was written, that it is necessary for me to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day,";  for he already told his disciples, "Saying,  The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." (Luke 24:7);  therefore, the scriptures was fulfilled entirely;  (i)  firstly, all things were fulfilled, which were written in the book of Moses, the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Jesus Christ;  (ii) secondly, Jesus was to suffer, and shed his blood for atonement of sins and to reconcile us with our Father by his dead on the cross and when he was about to die on the cross, Jesus said, "it is finished."; (John 19:30); (iii)  thirdly,  Jesus rose again from the dead on the third day;  for when the women went to the tomb on the third day to anoint his body, an angel said to them;  "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said.  Come, see the place where the Lord lay." (Matthew 28:6);  therefore, let us be aware that everyone born on this earth, has a mission to accomplish for our Father; however, at times, we do not know exactly what our assignments are, in other to focus on what matters and successfully accomplish them;  brethren, today, let us mirror our lives, to see where we are, what's going on and pray about sense of directions to our various destinations, to successfully complete our assignments through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; that when it is all done, we can boldly say, it is finish!

 (47)  And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.   Brethren, before Jesus Christ's ministry, (i)  John the baptist, preach the gospel of repentance and of the kingdom of heaven to the people; Saying, repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.( Matthew 3:2);  (ii)  however, during Jesus Christ ministry, he preached on the same topics but the people took him as a trouble maker and did not assimilate his words;  however, ( iii) after his death and resurrection, there was good enough reasons for them to believe his words, for they saw everything that happened, and truly believed that he was the Son of our Father in heaven; (iv)  now the door opened for his disciples to preached that repentance was the necessary first step on the path of redemption from all sins in the name of Jesus Christ to all countries, starting from Jerusalem;  therefore, as believers, the baton has been given unto us, it is our turn to pass it along; be disciples of Jesus Christ, preach the good news to both believers and unbelievers all over the world;  are we ready?

 (48)  And ye are witnesses of these things.  Brethren, Jesus said to his disciples, "And you saw all these things."  therefore, they ought to also minister to others with the evidence that they saw to bring unbelievers into repentance and remission of sins;  in other words, they were to bear witness to his works to all nations;  however, they have to wait first, for the Holy Spirits empowerment; for it is written;  "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8);  therefore, as believers, we have to minister to others, but let us seek the Holy Spirit's empowerment; for without him, we can do nothing for our Father, and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved,  in this lesson, we learned basics for our ministries,  we are to preach repentance and remission of sins to the whole world;  this is the message from Jesus Christ to his disciples; and this is what they preached regardless;  however, our focuses these days are to preach the gospel to convert as many souls as possible into the faith of the righteousness of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; therefore, let us not worry about what to preach when we minister to others; if we are in spirit enough, the Holy Spirit will give us the utterances, for it is written, "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:4);  therefore, we need not be afraid but do his will in spirit, preach the gospel of truth forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!
