IT IS WRITTEN .....

ST. LUKE 4:4

And Jesus answered him, saying,  It is written,  THAT MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD OF GOD.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,  in this context;  Jesus, said to the devil;  human beings are not made to eat bread only, but also the word of God.  We are made of Spirit, Soul, and Body;  when we eat bread, we satisfy the body;  the word of God satisfies the spirit of God within us:  without the word of God, we walk around hungry though we eat bread everyday.

Case in point,  when we hunger; our stomachs are empty, and we look forward to eat big meals; however, during a fast, we read the word, pray and are strengthen by the Holy Spirit;  and hunger not until we break the fast.  Lets ask ourselves why?  Jesus, already answered the question for us in the above scripture,  we live not only on bread;  but by every word of God.

Brethren, have you ever tried to read the word of God when (ill stricken, sorrowful, depress, lonely, or in tribulation)?.  If you have, you will realize that there is nothing that can elevate your spirit from the affliction than the word of God.   We can depend on a (friend, family member, or a physician) for healing, or comfort through the situation;  but that might be temporary:  because we might be nursing the body, but the spirit is still hungry for the word of God.

The enemy hinders children of God, from reading his word, because, our spirit aligns itself with God, when we read his word; and we are be able to know things of the spirit, and will resist the devil.  Have you ever receive a phone call, or text message at a time when you need to pray, or read the scriptures?   If you have, that is the influence of the enemy forces, to hinder you from having that relationship with God.  The best way to handle such situation is to forward the call to your voice mail, and put God first;  if the call is an emergency, by all means answer it; but beware of the devil's tricks.

The bible is not just scripts put together as a book; it is living words of God:  it heals the sick, comforts the sorrowful, and elevates the poor in spirit:  when we read his word everyday, we shall overcome all afflictions of the enemy.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,  are you feeding yourself with the word of God yet?  If not, try to read a verse, or chapter of his word everyday;  Jesus will help you with the rest, and you will never go hungry in the Spirit.   Read the word of God, believe the word, pray without ceasing, rebuke the devil, and he will flee away from you in Jesus Name!  Amen and Amen!

(John 1:1)  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and Word was God.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE.....

1 CORINTHIANS 10:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:  but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able;  but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,  in this context, Apostle Paul, encourages us to be strong in the Lord, through temptations;  for the Lord is faithful, and will not allow our trials to be too difficult to bear, but will provide a way for us through the temptation to overcome.

Case in point, as believers, when things go wrong in our lives, do we blame ourselves or others?, Brethren, we need not blame anyone for our downfalls;  but to submit ourselves to the Lord through prayers, and supplications:  have patience, and wait on the Lord,  for breakthrough from the storm.

Also, we need to realize that temptations are from the enemy forces, but not from the Lord;  when temptation comes our way, the outcome of the temptation, depends on us; whether we endure to the end, or fall away from our faith as Christians:  brethren, we need to be patient in the storm; believe in Jesus, to make a way for us to escape from the temptation, and restore our lives with abundance of blessings.

(Obadiah 1:17)  But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness:  and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

CONCLUSION:

Believer in Christ, are you in a difficult situation today? (loss of employment, family death, bankruptcy, illness, or depression);  You are not alone!  Jesus, is in the situation with you; pray to the father through his name;  submit everything under his mighty hand of authority;  pray for deliverance and restoration.  He is able to make a way for you to escape from the temptation by his blood.  He is always faithful, trust in him!  Amen and Amen!

(James 1:2-4)  My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;  (3)  Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.  (4)  But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE .....

PSALM 100:1-5

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.  (2)  Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.  (3)  Know ye that the LORD he is God:  it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;  we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.  (4)  Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name.  (5)  For the LORD is good;  his mercy is everlasting;  and his truth endureth to all generations.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,   the psalmist encourages us to praise, and serve the LORD with joyfulness of hearts:  we are to acknowledge him as the creator of all things; come unto his presence with praises, and thanks offerings;  to show appreciation for his everlasting goodness, and mercies to all mankind.

Case in point, all living things were created to worship, and serve God;  (birds of air, trees and flowers of the fields, bees and ants, ocean and sea sand); all creation shall praise his holy name:  when believers come into his presence with praises, adoration, and thanksgiving;  the LORD  is always pleased; and will shower his blessings upon them, but without his praises and adoration, believers, fall short of his goodness and mercies that are renewed everyday.

Brethren in the Lord, are to worship the LORD , as the angels worship him in heaven: of course, we cannot measure up to the worship of host of heaven, but we can make the efforts to praise worship the LORD in our hearts all day, when (driving to work,  in the office, on the bus/train, or singing melodies to him at home):  the LORD is everywhere,  and he lives in our hearts;  therefore, our praises to him are not in vain;  he hears us, and will manifest his goodness and mercies in our lives forevermore.

(Psalm 98:4)  Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth:  make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,   let us appreciate the LORD for who he is;  what he is doing in our lives, and what he is about to do forevermore;  we are highly favored by him, and all nations shall call us blessed:  we shall be fruitful in his presence forever more in the Name of Jesus!

(Psalm 95:1)  O come, let us sing unto the LORD:  let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

HAVE YOU DONE THIS?.......

ST. MARK 16:15-18

(15)  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  (16)  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;  but he that believeth not shall be damned.  (17)  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils;  they shall speak with new tongues;  (18)  They shall take up serpents;  and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them;  they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord;  I called this context, "the great commission",  Jesus, commissions us to go into the world, and preach the gospel to every man:  he said, those who will believe, and are baptized will receive eternal life;  but those who will not believe shall be thrown into hell's fire:  believers, shall speak in tongues, and cast out devils;  and any deadly attacks of the enemy will not hurt them, but in his name they shall perform miracles, sign and wonders.

Case in point,  brethren, let's assume that all Christians worship the Lord, pray, and read the scriptures;  "that is great!":  but the scripture says;  to believe in him and be baptized to receive eternal life:  the question is;   "Are we baptized Christians?"  or do we just follow the multitude to attend worship services;  but are not really saved: when we attend worship services, and crusades; and are touched by the holy spirit, do we respond to the alter call to receive Christ as our Lord and Savior?:  If we do,  baptism, is the next step to complete the process to receive everlasting life, and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

(Ephesians 4:5)  One Lord,  One faith,  One baptism.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,  perhaps our parents, neighbors, or friends led us to Jesus Christ; however, we need to profess our believe in him by baptism;  to receive his power to spread the gospel to the whole world.  If we have not being baptized yet; believers, let us go ahead and complete the process now, to receive power and eternal salvation in the name of Jesus!

Amen and Amen!

(John 3:16)  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in his should not perish,  but have everlasting life.

IN SPIRIT? ....

ST. JOHN 4:22-24

(22)  Ye worship ye know not what:  we know what we worship:  for salvation is of the Jews.  (23)  But the hour comet h, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth:  for the Father seeketh such to worship him.  (24)  God is a Spirit:  and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,  in this context; Jesus, speaks to us about worshiping the Father:  he said, the Jews, believe that salvation belonged to them;  because, they are chosen people of God.  Yes, they are chosen;  but Jesus, is saying in this context, that the Father is seeking true worshipers; and anyone who will worship him in spirit, and in truth will also receive everlasting life.

Case in point, some christian believers go to church every Sunday, in new outfits; because they want to be regarded with admiration by fellow worshipers.  Such believers, leave home for services, with their minds already in flesh;  because they go to impress fellow worshipers, but not to worship the Father:  there is nothing wrong with wearing new outfits every Sunday;  the point is,  these actions sometimes distract other worshipers from concentrating on worshiping the Lord.

Brethren, flesh has taken control of the churches, and these believers are not worshiping the Lord in spirit:  likewise, true worshipers will not gossip about what a friend was wearing to church;  neither, will they lie, spread rumors, commit adultery, steal, envy, be jealous, or blaspheme the name of God; but will worship the Lord with truthfulness and in spirit.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord;  we worship a true and righteous living God of all creation.  He is alive today, and forevermore:  we are to please him through our worships, and thanks offerings.  It is important for us to be truthful in all our ways, and display the fruit of the spirit in his presence.
Jesus, our Lord and Savior, will forgive us of all our trespasses, and bring us into his righteousness;  if we seek him with all our hearts, minds, souls and bodies.  He is always faithful!  Amen and Amen!

(Galatians 5:25)  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

SALTED WITH FIRE .....

ST. MARK 9:49-50

(50)  For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.  (51)  Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness,  wherewith will ye season it?  Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, in this context, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, is speaking to us in the parable of salt, which is (light of our soul);  if the lights in us are deemed by our unrighteousness, and we live in darkness, how can we affect the lives of others in this sinful world:  Let us have salt (light of our soul), so we can live peaceable with all men.

Case in point, Christians, are to be shinning lights in this sinful generation, because we are anointed children of God, and we bear the mark of salvation upon us:  if our lights are not shinning;  how can we emulate Christ in this sinful generation?  We can keep our lights shinning by practicing what the scripture says:  We are to (a)  Love God with all your hearts and souls;  (b)  Love our neighbors as ourselves;  (c)  give to the poor and needy;  (d)  Fear God and depart from evil;  when we practice these attributes; our light shall shine, and we will live peaceable with all men.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, Jesus has given us salt in the spirit; we are to use the salt to salt en others, if we are not righteous and do evil:  our salt will be tasteless and will not be useful for ourselves or anyone, but to be thrown out and trample on;  let us try to do the will of the father with love, and peace so we could retain the savory of our salt in Jesus Name!  Amen and Amen!

(2 Corinthians 13:11)  Finally, brethren, farewell.  Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

EL ELOHIM MINISTRIES: THE TIME IS NOW.....

EL ELOHIM MINISTRIES: THE TIME IS NOW.....: ST. JOHN 4:35-38 (35)   Say not ye,  There are yet four months, and then comet harvest?  behold,  I say unto you,  Lift up your eyes, and ...

THE TIME IS NOW.....

ST. JOHN 4:35-38

(35)  Say not ye,  There are yet four months, and then comet harvest?  behold,  I say unto you,  Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields;  for they are white already to harvest.  (36)  And he that reapeth receiveth wages,  and gathereth fruit unto life eternal:  that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.  (37)  And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.  (38)  I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labor:  other men labored, and ye are entered into their labors.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, Jesus is speaking to believers of today:  "go now into the field of harvest (nations);  and spread the gospel (sow seed);  and save souls (reap harvest) unto me:  whosoever will hear my voice, and join in the harvest will receive blessing; for both the sower, and reaper will not labor in vain, but will receive eternal life".

Case in point,  (a)  the harvest (nations) is ready;  (b)  the reapers (preachers of the word);  (c) the laborers (missionaries) already planted seeds:  believers in Christ, are to share the gospel to all nations, and to save souls for Christ; but are not comfortable to do so in the secular world.  "Why?"  because the enemy had made it an abomination for Christians to share their faith with others in public without persecution.  Therefore, Christ had made it possible for souls to listen to his word everyday, through (radio and television broadcasts); either way, the reapers are at work until Christ's return to receive the harvest unto his kingdom:  both sowers and reapers will be rewarded abundantly in his eternal glory.

Are you a sower or a reaper?:  Christ is saying to you today, do not worry about who to minister the word to:  if you are willing and able to speak his words to the nations; Christ will bring the harvest to you from the (streets, highways, shopping malls, movie theaters, sports arenas and night clubs);  to feed on his words.   Just pray for his grace to able to do so.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, which group do you belong to?  (a)  Are you in the field of harvest (hearers of the gospel)?   (b)  among the sowers (missionaries)? or  (c) among the reapers (preacher of the gospel)?
Which ever group you find yourself;  Christ is saying to you today,  "the time is now", go ye into the world, and reap the harvest abundantly for Christ;  for both sowers and reapers will receive blessing and eternal life with Jesus in his kingdom.  Amen and Amen!

(Revelation 22:12-13)  And, behold,  I come quickly:  and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.    (13)  I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

WILL HE? ........

PSALM 125:1-5

(1)  They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.  (2)  As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.  (3)  For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous;  lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.  (4)  Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.  (5)  As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity:  but peace shall be upon Israel.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,  the psalmist encourages us to trust in the Lord;  for the Lord will not allow the wishes of the wicked to come to pass in the life of the righteous: he will not allow their wicked devises to afflict his children, and to make the righteous stumble.

For example, when a believer in Christ is going through a storm, whether (loss of employment,  foreclosure, bankruptcy, etc.);  the believer will have to   (a)  pray for power to persevere through the storm;  (a)  have faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  (c)  be trustful in prayers;  (d)  have patience; and wait for his grace and manifestation.

(Isaiah 50:10)  Who is among you that feareth the lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light?  let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren, the Lord uses storms of life, to prove us wealthy of his callings;  he will not leave us alone when we wither a storm;  but will deliver us, when we call upon him:  he will not leave us hopeless, and helpless lest we fall a prey to the enemy.  The Lord will be good to his people, and will surely deliver them from all storms of life!

Are you in a storm today?   If you are, Pray without ceasing;  Jesus, is on his way to rescue you by his Blood!

Amen and Amen!

WHY GRUMBLE ....

PHILIPPIANS 12-16

(12)  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.  (13)  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.  (14)  Do all things without murmuring and disputing:   (15)  That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in Christ,  in this context;  Apostle Paul, encourages us to persevere in serving the Lord, with reverence and in humility:  for God, uses us to do his will;  therefore, let's do his will without grumblings or arguments:  so we can be righteous children of God;  without reprove among this corrupt generation, because we shine as lights of this world.

Case in point,  in our churches:  (a)  we want to be Choristers, but cannot attend Choir practices when the weather is too hot/cold;  (b)  we want to be ushers, but cannot stand on our feet too long to greet fellow worshipers;  (c) we want to be deacons in the churches only to critic the Pastors, but not to serve God.

Brethren, the church is a body of Christ, and we are branches of his body; every branch is talented, and useful to perform a duty in the congregation of God;  therefore, let us use our God given talents to uplift the kingdom of Christ on earth, and serve him with joyfulness of heart.

Also,  we equally serve God in the secular world;  "How?"  (Psalm 24:1)  The earth is the Lord's,  and the fullness thereof;  the world, and they that dwell therein. ..... God, owns everything;  therefore, we need to be proactive in our God given positions at work:  let us be helpful to co-workers, and love everyone as Christ loved us and died for our sins.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren, no one is righteous, but we can try to be blameless children of God, among this wicked generation:  we need to shine our lights, persevere, read the word, and pray without ceasing:  that we might rejoice in the day of Christ, and not run or labor in vain.  In Jesus Name! Amen and Amen!

BUT WHY? ......

ECCLESIASTES 7:15-18

(15)  All things have I seen in the days of my vanity:  there is a just man that perisheth in his righteousness, and there is a wicked man that prolongeth his life in his wickedness.  (16)  Be not righteous over much;  neither make thyself over wise:  why should est thou destroy thyself?
(17)  Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish:  why should est thou die before thy time?  (18)  It is good that thou should est take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, this is an advise from King Solomon for us to fear GOD: for a righteous man could die an early death when he is too righteous in his ways:  likewise, a wicked man's life can be prolong in his wickedness: for the one who fears God, shall come out of both of them all.

As Christians, we are expected to walk in righteousness:  but, when we don't it displeases the Lord; we become too judgmental to others, and display evil attributes such as, (rumor mongering, gossiping, false accusing, slandering, backstabbing and self-righteousness) among ourselves.  Therefore, let us not be too judgmental in our ways.

Also, the scripture says, "the wicked can live longer in his wickedness";  but "why?"  My point of view is, the LORD prolongs the life of a wicked person, so they can repent from all evil and turn to Christ for eternal life.

(Ezekiel 33:19)  But if the wicked turn from his wickedness, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall live thereby.

Brethren, this world is full of wickedness:  there are wicked people in high places of authority;  in our (churches, senate, judiciary, secular workforce and in families).  The devil dominates the hearts of the wicked, to do his evil against the children of light;  therefore, when we are being attack from any sort, let us look at the whole picture:  there might be a demonic spirit working through the attacker to destroy us, and we need be watchful and pray for divine intervention through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,  the bottom line is "Fear GOD and do no Evil to thy neighbor".  Let us try to do good always; and live peaceably with all men,  Amen and Amen!

(1 Peter 3:12)  FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE OVER THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ARE OPEN UNTO THEIR PRAYERS:  BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THEM THAT TO EVIL.

THE HEART OF THE LORD.....

MICAH 6:6-8

(6)  Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high GOD?  shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? (7)  Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil?  shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?  (8)  He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy GOD?

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,  this context speaks the heart of the LORD regarding our givings: it is not what we bring to the alter of the Lord that makes us righteous:  but to be righteous, we need to show compassion on others;  and be humble in all our ways.

Case in point, we think that the Lord will love and bless us more if we bring expensive gifts to him;  as a result, we borrow money from credit card companies to show off in our churches;  we pledge more to churches than we are able to give, and that can mess up church finances.

Brethren, "What are we trying to prove?"  we are trying to gain admiration of others; but the LORD is not happy with us, because these are attitudes of superiority.  However, we are to show humility at all times;  therefore,  let us bring our offerings before him with humbleness, and show compassion to the poor and needy; when we do all these attributes, we do them unto Christ, and are blessed.

(Genesis 4:5)  .........But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord  let us give to the LORD with spirit of appreciation; for the LORD reads the hearts of men, and not our offerings.  Let us walk in righteousness, show humility, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

Our LORD JESUS, will bless us today and forevermore, In Jesus Name.  Amen and Amen!

(2 Corinthians 9:7)  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:  for God loveth a cheerful giver.

BY HIS BLOOD .......

ST. JOHN 6:53-58

(53)  Then Jesus said unto them,  Verily, verily, I say unto you,  Except ye eat the flesh of the son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.  (54) Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.  (55)  For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.  (56)  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I  in him.  (57)  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father:  so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.  (58)  This is that bread which came down from heaven:  not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead:  he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in Christ,  the context is self explanatory, Jesus, explained his mission on earth to his followers:  through his flesh and blood, that was shed to purchase us from all our sins.  He was the bread (flesh) and blood (life) and if we partake of him through the Holy Communion;  Jesus said,
we shall live in him and he in us forevermore.

(1 Corinthians 11:24-25) (24)  And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said,  Take, eat:  this is my body, which is broken for you:  this do in remembrance of me.  (25)  After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying,  This cup is the new testament in my blood:  this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

Believers in Christ, are to partake of the Holy Communion to renew our faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and his mission on earth to save us from hell's damnation.  However, the scripture says, we cannot partake of the Holy Communion unworthily:  we might ask ourselves, "Why is that?"  because (Worthy is the Lamb that was slain), and we need to be worthy also in him;  therefore, before we partake of his flesh and blood;  we are to confess all hidden sins.  Also, if any brother had offended us, we will have to release those offenses, and forgive them of all their sins; as Christ also forgave us through his death on the cross:  when we clear our hearts and minds from all darkness, we will be worthy to partake of his flesh and blood, and be renewed in our salvation.

If we do not confess our sins, or forgive our trespassers their sins; before partaking of his flesh and blood:  The scripture says, *we will be guilty of his body and blood;  we might ask ourselves "what do this means?"  It means we will equally be guilty of his crucifixion, and his blood that was shed on the cross;  therefore, it is very important that we examine our hearts, to make sure that our hearts are clean from all hidden sins; before we partake of his flesh, and blood by Holy Communion.

*(1 Corinthians 11:27)  Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

 CONCLUSION:

Brethren, the covenant of flesh and blood is real, and all believers in Christ, are to partake of the Holy Communion in remembrance of his suffering and death on the cross of Calvary to redeemed us from hell's damnation unto his eternal life.  Amen and Amen!

WATCH AND PRAY

PSALM 27 1-3

The Lord is my light and my salvation;  whom shall I fear?  the LORD is the strength of my life;  of whom shall I be afraid?  (2)  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.  (3)  Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear:  though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, King David, prayed this prayer for the Lord to save his soul from spiritual warfare, and to be the light of his deliverance from the power and effects of the enemy.

As Christians, we will face spiritual warfare periodically from the demonic world, because of our relationship with Jesus: these attacks are designed to frustrate us and make us loose faith in Christ.

The devil assigns demons to attack our (finances, jobs, and relationships), but when we pray to God through Jesus Christ, we are made over comers by his blood.
The question is, brethren when unexplained circumstances (loss of employments, car accidents, etc.)  happens to us; do we view these incidences as coincidences, or do we view them as attacks of the enemy? Brethren they might be attacks from the enemy that needs spiritual attention: we need to pray to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for deliverance when being attack from the demonic world.   Let us "watch and pray".

(1 Peter 5:8)   Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, let us not take events of this world as a fairy tale, they are events documented in the scriptures:  they are all true, and are being fulfilled everyday.  Demonic activity is real in the daily activities of a Christian;  we can be made over-comers by prayers, and the blood of  Jesus!.
Amen and Amen!

(Luke 21:36)  Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

FOR NOW WE SEE THROUGH A GLASS ........

1 CORINTHIANS 13:11-13

(11)  When I was a child, I spake as a child,  I understood as a child,  I thought as a child:  but when I became a man,  I put away childish things.  (12)  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face:  now I know in part;  but then shall I know even as also I am known.  (13)  And now abideth faith , hope, charity, these three;  but the greatest of these is charity.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, in this context;   Paul's analogy is;  when we were younger Christians, we did not know better, and walk in our own carnal ways: (we practice every evil deed which we thought was cool, because our friends did them),  but now we have grown spiritually and have the knowledge of Christ;  therefore, let us do away all childish ways, and walk in faith (trust), hope (anticipate), and in charity (love).

Case in point, when we were younger:   (a)  the bible was read and interpreted to us:   (b)  as we get older, we read the bible ourselves, and understood the word:  (c)  now we need to put in practice the attributes of the word with others.  As christian, we need to always dwell in faith, (trust Jesus);  and hope (anticipate for eternity);  and show charity (love one another).

The scripture says, charity (love) is the greatest of all these 3 attributes:   "Why",  Because, when we love one another, we will not do evil deeds against ourselves;   such as, murder, steal, gossip, commit, adultrey, jealous, slander and persecute one another.

(Isaiah 1:16)  Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,  let us practice these 3 greatest attributes, faith (trust), hope (anticipate) , and charity (love), as we grow up in the Lord.  Let us put away all childish ways, and look straight into the future with knowledge of the word and love of Christ.  Jesus, will bless forever.  Amen and Amen!

(ST. JOHN 14:23)  Jesus answered and said unto him,  If a man love me, he will keep my words:  and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

WE SHALL OVERCOME ....

ROMANS 12:19-21

(19)  Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:  for it is written, VENGEANCE IS MINE;  I WILL REPAY, saith the Lord.  (20)  Therefore IF THINE ENEMY HUNGER, FEED HIM;  IF HE THIRST  GIVE HIM DRINK:  FOR IN SO DOING THOU SHALT HEAP COALS OF FIRE ON HIS HEAD.  (21)  Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,  in this context, Paul says not to take vengeance for ourselves by punishing the wrong doer, but rather give place to divine chastisement;  and do good to those who offend us.

As children of God, our enemies will rise up us against us in different ways; when they do, let us not fight our own battles, but leave the battle for God's judgement:  instead, let us show kindness in return for the evil done against us.
I know how difficult this sounds, but it is not difficult if we pray to God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, about the situation:  Jesus, will make it possible for us to forgive and embrace our enemies with love.

Brethren in the Lord,  "Our God is a Bigger God", and "so are we"; therefore, we need to be bigger than our enemies and overcome evil with good:  let us show kindness by helping them with their urgent needs if possible;  the scriptures says, for doing so:  we heap coals of fire on their heads.

(Philippians 2:13)  For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,  let us pray for our enemies for change of hearts, and take care of them when they are in need;  by doing so, the hand of the lord reprobate on our behalf.
*Jesus says to do good to those that hate us:  let us hear his voice, and obey him.  We shall overcome all evil in his name!  Amen and Amen!

(St Luke 6:27)  But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you.

SAY NOT THOU FOOL ......

ST. MATTHEW 5:22-24

(22)  But I say unto you,  That who so ever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment:  and whosoever shall say to his brother,  Raca, shall be in danger of the council:  but whosoever shall say,  Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.  (23)  Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remember est that thy brother hath ought against thee;  (24)  Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way;  first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren, Jesus is awesome!  He is asking us not to be angry unnecessary, or label ourselves with hateful words; but forgive and make peace, before we bring our gifts to the altar.

Brethren in Christ, the indwelling Spirit given to us from the father (God) is a spirit of truth and love.

Therefore, if we have the spirit of truthfulness in us, we  will obey his voice and do his will.  Let us not keep malice, or use hateful words against one another when angry; but bear the fruit of the indwelling Spirit and make peace, so we can be favorable in his sight and receive his blessings.

(Mathew 6:14)   For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you  (15)  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,  let us not defame one another for hell damnation awaits us when we do so; but let us forgive one another their offenses, so our father in heaven could also forgive us our sins.
Amen and Amen!

(Romans 12:18)  If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

O GOD ......

PSALM 70:1-5

(1)  Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord.  (2)  Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul:  let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.  (3)  Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.  (4)  Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee:  and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.  (5)  But I am poor and needy:  make haste unto me, O God:  thou art my help and my deliverer, O LORD, make no tarrying.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, in this context; King David petitioned God to deliver him from enemy forces, and to take away poverty, and send help speedily.

As Christians, we can pray this psalm; when we are being persecuted by enemy forces; either at work, family circle, in our place of worship, in dreams/visions, or when we need breakthrough from poverty.

Brethren in the Lord, when we face trails and tribulations of life;  do we get aggravated in the storm, and would like to fight our own battles?,  "No!" but we call upon the Lord as the psalmist did above.  Sometimes we tend to lose hope when persecuted by enemy forces, and want to (quit our jobs, argue ourselves out of the situations, seek secular helps, or turn to friends and families for advise);  but fail to seek help from God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
We also fail to realize that these enemy forces rejoice at our hurts;  their missions are to break us down, so we could lose our goal in life, and not focus on Christ our Savior:  they might win the battle if we do not pray for divine intervention through the blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

(Psalms 37:1-2)  (1)  Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.  (2)  For they  shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Case in point, when friends, families coworkers act strange against us;  (lying to the boss, gossiping, ganging, spreading rumors, and becoming our enemies):   we tend to wonder (what happened to our relationships?, and  What is going on with their attitudes?);  brethren in the Lord, the enemy might be at work against us;  therefore, let us not put up a physical fight, or lose hope in the situation, but turn to the Lord in prayers for  justifications, and our enemies to be put to shame.

Children of God, there is a warfare going on in this world everyday;  and it is real, we need to be aware of its existence in our lives;  also, beware that it is not what we say or do, that provokes the warfare, it is who we are in Christ;  we are children of the most high God, and we walk in the light of his glory;  that is enough for satanic forces to fight against us.

These demonic forces cannot be seen with naked eyes, but they are real, and can operate through the ears and minds of anyone who is accessible to be used for their evil deeds;  but whoever is provoking us might not be aware that they are being influenced from the demonic world,  and are doing the will of their master the devil;  therefore, brethren let us give them the benefit of the doubt and pray for them for deliverance from all their evil works and be saved by the blood of Jesus so they can receive salvation.

CONCLUSION:

(Psalm 24:1)  The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof;  the world, and they that dwell therein.
Brethren we have a heavenly father (God), who owes everything in this world,  when we are faced with any kind of trails and tribulations or lack; let us approach him in prayer for help, through Jesus Christ his only son to deliver us, and send us help from his holy heaven.  Jesus says ........
(St, Matthew 11:28)  Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Jesus Saves!  Amen and Amen!

SHOULD WE EAT EVERYTHING?

MARK 7:18-23

(18)  And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also?  Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;  (19)  Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

(20)  And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. (21)  For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornication s  murders, (22)  Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:
(23)  All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord,  in this context, Jesus made it clear that there is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but things that come out of him (evil thoughts and deeds), those are the things that defile him.

In other words, it is not a sin for Christians to eat any type of food, (if sanctified by the blood of Christ);  for what we eat will be purged through our stomachs and through the toilet, but we need to be mindful of our thought processes, and what comes out of our actions:  for out of our hearts comes all thoughts whether good or evil.

Jesus says, not to act upon any evil thoughts of our hearts; therefore, let us not defile ourselves by obeying the voice of the enemy (devil) and carry out his evil deeds invoked through our hearts.

As Christians, when thoughts comes into our hearts, let us ask ourselves, (are these thoughts good or evil?, should we act upon them or not?), if our thoughts turns out to be negative; let us rebuke the voice (devil), and he will flee away from us with his evil assignments.

(James 4:7)   Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, (How do we avoid these evil thoughts from coming to our minds?)

First of all, we need to read the scriptures every morning and pray for spirit of discernment from good and evil:  we need to pray for protection from all perils and dangers of the day through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He is able to deliver us from the enemy when we call upon his Holy Name!
Amen and Amen!

NAKED I AM ..

ST. MATTHEW 25:31-36

(31)  When the son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  (32)  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divided his sheep from the goats:  (33)  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  (34)  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand,  Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  (35)  For I was an hungered  and ye gave me meat:  I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink:  I was a stranger, and ye took me in:  (36)  Naked, and ye clothed me:  I was sick, and ye visited me:  I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, this context is a blessed assurance of our inheritance with Jesus Christ in his glory; when we do his will, what an awesome Grace of God.
First of all, let us ask ourselves how can we be counted worthy of this assurance?
Jesus, made this clear to us in this text; we can be assured of eternal glory with him when we  (feed the poor, take care of a stranger, clothe the naked, pray for the sick, minister the gospel to prisoners), and love one another: when we do all these, we do them unto him and we will inherit eternal life.

Case in point, when we drive/walk down the street, and see a beggar asking for alms, do we give? or  do we say, ("get away from me", "I do not have any", or" I will not give you money to satisfy your alcohol/drug addiction"):  Brethren, no matter what the reason behind the request, we are to give anyway, because Christ had asked us to do so, and leave the rest to him for his mercy:  "Beware" the beggar might be an angel from the Lord, and we are being tested; for there are moments when a Christian will go through a test of faith before we receive blessing from God.

(Father Abraham was tested by God to offer his son Isaac for burnt offering, Genesis 22:1-18).

Also, we clothe ourselves in the winter with expensive fur coats, but will not give a warm blanket to the homeless;  on a hot summer day, we take long showers, but will not offer a bottle of cold water to the needy on the street;  we throw out leftover food to the garbage everyday, but will not feed the poor in the alley behind our building;  we pray for sick friends/family,  but will not visit hospitals to pray for the sick we do not know.

Brethren in the Lord,  when we do all these good gestures, Jesus will count us among the sheep and will inherit eternal life prepared for us from the foundation of the world.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, the whole world is going through difficult times, but as believers, we have to trust the Lord to provide for our needs everyday.
If we believe in Christ, as the provider of all good things, then we will share our blessings with the poor that we might received abundance from God.

The Scripture says, through faith and obedience, the widow of Zarephath received abundance of blessing from the Lord through Elijah the Prophet of God.
(1 Kings 17:13-14)  And Elijah said unto her, (widow of Zarephath) Fear Not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.  (14)  For thus saith the Lord God of Israel,  The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord sendeth rain upon the earth.

Let us obey the voice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  love one another, and do good to the poor at all times to inherit eternal life with Jesus Christ in his glory.  He is the only way to Heaven, no one else!  Believe on him forevermore!  Amen and Amen!

PRESS ON .......

1 PETER 4:14-17

(14)  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.  (15)  But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.  (16)  Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.  (17)  For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, the text is pretty clear; Peter encouraged us to be strong in our faith in the Lord Jesus, when in persecution:  for whosoever suffers for righteousness sake, suffers for Christ, and God is glorified through the suffering, and will be rewarded with eternal life.
The Scripture says, Christians should not suffer for being unrighteous or meddling in other people's affairs;  we are to be Christlike and mind our own businesses.  Moreover, let us use our time wisely for God and not gossip and broadcast false rumors about people.  However, give thanks and glorify God when being persecuted for righteousness sake; and do not be ashamed, for Christ is aware and our persecutors will be punish for their evil deeds upon our lives.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, was persecuted throughout his ministry, and eventually crucified for sins he did not commit; therefore, let us continue in our faith for Christ's sake regardless of the warfare upon our lives;  for he is aware, and we will inherit eternal life with him in his glory.

(1 Peter 3:13-14)  And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?  (14)  But and if ye suffer for righteousness sake, happy are ye: AND BE NOT AFRAID OF THEIR TERROR, NEITHER BE TROUBLED;

CONCLUSION:

(Philippians 3:14)  I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Brethren in the Lord, let us press on, (be bold, speak the truth, love our neighbor, and do that which right at all times); be not afraid of persecutions for they are of the devil, but be strong in the faith of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We shall overcome all persecutions by the blood of Jesus!  Amen and Amen!

O MY ENEMIES ....

MICAH 7:8-10

(8)  Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy:  when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.  (9)  I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me:  he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.  (10)  Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me,  Where is the Lord thy God?  mine eyes shall behold her:  now shall she be trodden down as the mire of the streets.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, in this context, Prophet Micah spoke against his enemies in his wilderness experience: when he was downcast ed in the storm of life; his enemies mock at him, but he trusted in the Lord for his judgment and restoration.
There are moments in the life, when we all experience trails and tribulations:  friends and family would send words of empathy or encouragement to us in our darkest moments;  let us ask ourselves, (are these words truly kind gestures?)  No, not all of them are!
Prophet Micah says, our enemies do rejoice at our downfalls; as children of the Most High God, the Lord is our light through our darkest moments, and per chance if we have sin; he will forgive us when we repent, and move us into his righteousness.
When in a storm, the questions we need to ask ourselves are, "what is the lord trying to teach us in this storm?  what sins brought us to this point in life? where is the Lord taking us from here?":  also, let us submit to the Lord, (pray, read the scriptures, worship, trust in him, wait for his mercy, and justification), for his light will bring us from our tribulations into justifications.
The scriptures says, our enemies shall see our justifications and be ashamed; for the Lord who heard and saw them when they mock at us in our trails shall put them under our feet forever.
Brethren in the Lord, are you currently in a storm? (loss of employment, divorced, sorrowful, homeless, bankrupt, depressed):  pray for the Lord to plead your cause and execute judgment for you; when you are proved, he will bring you forth into the light, and you shall behold his righteousness (give glory unto him).

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, life is full of surprises, whatever situation or position you find yourself this day, count it as a blessing, for the Lord knows the beginning and end of your journey on earth.  None of our days are equal and there will dark moments in the journey, but do not lose hope; pray and trust in him to take absolute control of the situation.  He will justify you when you are proved to be a faithful child of God.

Jesus is standing and knocking at the door of your heart; do not shut the door on him, let him in and he will remove all your transgressions and save you from the storm with his blood that was shed on Calvary, you will sit with him in his glory forevermore.  Amen and Amen!

(Revelation 3:20)  Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.  (21)  To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

CONTEMPT OF THE PROUD

PSALM 123:1-4

(1)  Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwell est in the heavens.  (2)  Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the Lord our God, until that he have mercy upon us.  (3)  Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.  (4)  Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in Lord, in this context, the psalmist pleaded to God for his mercy among adversity.
As believers in Christ, the devil provokes, attacks and frustrates us whenever possible, to derail us from our faith in Jesus Christ.
These demonic attacks could manifest through (bankruptcies, workplace harassment, divorces, church divisions, family breakups, suicides, alcohol/drug additions, demonic dreams and visions);  Christians, need to be aware of these attacks and pray daily for God's mercy and intervention in the affairs of this world.
Our adversary, (the devil) has demons spirits in high places of power (principalities and powers) on earth; they operate in our schools to derail our children lives, in secular world to recruit souls for hell, Senate and Congress to interfere with government agendas, worldliness in churches, negatively influence movie/music industries, and apparel industries.
As a result, school children are no longer worried about grades but their looks, government decisions tend to  favor the rich and not poor individuals, sex and nudity had taken control of the world through movie theaters, music and apparel industries; but when we (Christians) speak up against all these actions of the devil, we become an enemy of the world; therefore, let us pray for God's mercy and intervention on this sinful generation.

(John 15:19)  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, (What is the solution to these attacks of the enemy?)  "PRAYER".  Before you head out to your various activities of the day; pray for the world, and plead the blood of Jesus to protect everyone from all adversaries.

(2 Timothy 3:1)  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

Perilous times are here, believe on Jesus and be saved.  Amen and Amen!

CONSIDER THE .........

EPHESIANS 4:28-32

(28)  Let him that stole steal no more:  but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needed. (29) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  (30)  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  (31)  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  (32)  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, in this context of exhortation, Paul teaches Christians, to resist from doing evil deeds; stealing, and defaming one another, but to accommodate each other with tender love and forgiveness.
As believers, we need to use time wisely; for *times and days belong to the most High God, we are to work, fellowship, give to the poor and needy, uplift one another with constructive words; not to be bitter; keep malice, and speak evil against our fellow brethren.
The greater attribute of a christian life is to love, and forgive one another; as God loved and forgave us of all our sins, through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

*(Job 24:1)  Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord, let us not be (envious, jealous, gossip, steal, bitter, fornicate and commit adultery); but love, admonish and forgive one another of all trespasses to which we will inherit eternal life through Christ Jesus. Amen and Amen!

(Mark 12:33) And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
