(36)  And he spake also a parable unto them;  No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old;  if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth, not with the old.
(37)  And no man putteth new wine into old bottles;  else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
(38)  But new wine must be put into new bottles, and both are preserved.

THE NEW YEAR RESOLUTION
Brethren, as the year 2016 rolls away, and the new year is ushered into our world this midnight;  it is time to list down new year resolutions;  (i)  let us take pens and papers, relax ourselves, think deeply to list the agendas for what we need to tackle in the coming year;  if we still have the old list made for this year, great! we may update the same list, check off what have been accomplished so far this year, reinstate what is yet to be tackled, and add the new agendas for the coming year.

When we double check t…

(KJV.)  EPHESIANS 5:18-21
(18)  And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess;  but be filled with the Spirit;
(19)  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
(20)  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
(21)  Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

WHAT IS IN YOUR CUP?
Brethren, as the year 2016 rolls away in a couple of days, plans are underway to celebrate the coming new year 2017;  let us take moments out of our busy schedules, and give thanks to the Almighty Father, for his victories, protections, healings, forgiveness, blessings, and grace, to be able to survive this year successfully, anticipate to make it through to the coming New Year:  however, the question we need to ask ourselves is, did we make it this far by own ableness?  If we can discern the question, know the answer to it, we will give glory to our Father for the rest of ou…

(46)  And Mary said,  My soul doth magnify the Lord, (47)  And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. (48)  For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden:  for, behold,  from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Brethren, when praises goes up, blessings must come down;  when the virgin Mary received the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ, she rose up and went to share the news with her cousin Elizabeth;  when she arrived there, immediately Elizabeth raised her voice, and said;  Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb..... cf. Luke 1:42-45;  therefore, when the glory of the Lord rises upon our lives, we do not have to prove to the world, that we are of our Father, the world will perceive his shining lights, and join us to glorify our Father in Heaven;  today, the anointing oils from Jesus Christ, is following into our lambs, let us rise up, go into the world, and share the good news of h…

ISAIAH 9:6-7
(6)  For unto us, a child is born,  unto us a son is given:  and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (7)  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.  The zeal of the LORD of the host will perform this.
THE PRINCE OF PEACE
Brethren, the savior of the world is born, his name is Jesus, who took away the sins of the world!  Let us rejoice sing songs of praises to our Father;  for his love, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. cf. John 3:16.
Generations before the birth of Jesus Christ, Prophet Isaiah, spoke about his birth in the above text, saying:  For unto us, a child is born, unto us a son is given: the government sh…

(KJV.)  ST. MATTHEW 2:1-3
(1)  Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king,  behold,  there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem.
(2)  Saying,  Where is he that is born King of the Jews?  for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
(3)  When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

DESTINY REVEALED
Brethren, when Jesus was born, the wise men came from the east to Jerusalem, to look for him, for they saw a star in the east, which led them to that vicinity;  unfortunately, when they arrived in Jerusalem, they could not locate his birthplace; therefore, they inquired of people, saying; Where is he that is born King of the Jews?  Hold right there!  King of the Jews? Yes!  King of the Jews!  refer to Jeremiah 23:5;  however, this type of remark was not easily welcomed in Jerusalem during the reign of Herod the king, but he held his peace;  watch carefully, (i) Jesus was still a baby, laid in …

(5)  Behold,  the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
(6)  In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely:  and this is his name whereby he shall be called;  THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

THE REASONS FOR THE SEASON

Brethren, the reason for the season is THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.  The justification through the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior:  he came into the world to sacrifice his life for the redemption of souls from the bondage of iniquity, cf. John 3:17; grant salvation, free grace, hope, peace, and life everlasting.

Also, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. cf. John 3:16;  therefore, another reason for the season is the love of our Father, that he gave Jesus Christ as a sacrificial lamb to the slaughtere…

(8)  Thus saith the LORD,  In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee:  and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;
(9)  That thou mayest say to the prisoners,  God forth;  to them that are in darkness,  Shew yourselves.  They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places.
(10) They shall not hunger nor thirst;  neither shall the heat nor sun smite them:  for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
(11) And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways shall be exalted.

IT IS TIME!

(2)  But thou,  Beth-lehem Ephratah,  though thou be little among the thousands of Judah,  yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me thatis to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

O' BETHLEHEM EPHRATAH!
Brethren, there is an old fable, that big thing comes in small packages;  if we ask a question, saying, but how can it be, if the package is smaller, and the gift is much bigger?  Well!  In reference to the above text, I will say, it certainly is:  tell me how?  First of all, the subject matter of the above text is, the coming of the ruler of Israel; we have the name of the city where he will be born, which is the city of Bethlehem Ephratah, categorized in this text as, "the little among the thousands of Judah,";  Bethlehem, means the house of bread, it is also known as the city of David; a small town in the south of Jerusalem, because of its magnitude, it was categorized as a little town; secondly, referring to…

(6)  And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
(7)  And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

AWAY IN A MANGER

Brethren, from generations to generations, paying taxes to govern officials have been a part of human duty and responsibility;  referring to the chapter of the above text, a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed, by the way, taxing was first introduced by Cyrenius governor of Syria: therefore, Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, the city of David, called Bethlehem;  …

AS THE WORLD TURNS
Brethren, as the world turns, revolves, orbits within the universe of glory, to produce the spring, summer, fall, and winter seasons, so, is the life of human on earth;  we move within the surface of the earth momentarily, and like the flowers of the field, we blooms in the mornings but fades away into the sunset;  there are no dull moments in life, whereby, humanity remain stagnant, immovable until towards the end of our days on earth, when we begin to age graciously, fade away with the wind to be at rest;  unconsciously, each and every person living on earth, at certain time of life, experiences physiological changes, these changes cannot be hindered regardless of our statuses on earth;  therefore, regardless of what may …

(40)  Many of the people, therefore when they heard this saying, said;  Of a truth, this is the Prophet.
(41)  Others said;  This is the Christ.  But some said;  Shall Christ come out of Galilee?
(42)  Hath not the scripture said,  That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?

GALILEE OF THE GENTILES
Brethren, in this twenty-first century;  Jesus Christ is using many of his believers all over the world to preach the gospel truth, heal the afflicted, sanctify the sorrowful hearts of men, enlighten their pathways out of the darkness of this world into the marvelous lights of his glory;  today, let us ask ourselves, are we actively involved in the will of Jesus Christ?  The fact is, we are all gifted in this world, therefore, we all have something to offer the world, in other to make our lives worthful on earth;  therefore, let us not lay aside our gifts, but rather work the works, and possess our possessions on earth and…

(24)  Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him and took unto him his wife.
(25)  And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son:  and he called his name JESUS.

JESUS IS SALVATION!
Brethren, obedience is a major characteristic of humbleness;  therefore, as believers, let us listen carefully to the voice of the Holy Spirit our counselor, teacher, companion, comforter, and guidance to perceive his purposes for our lives;  whenever he speaks into our hearts, normally, there are unforeseen reasons why we ought to obey him; follow his dictates, and accomplish his will within his body and the world of darkness: for just by one man's disobedience in the garden of Eden, the whole human race fell from the enjoyments of our Father into hardships and multitudes of sins; cf. Genesis chapter 3;  on the contrarily, for the obedience of Jesus Christ, to suffer, die on the cross, and resurrection from the tomb; salvatio…

(20)  And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS AWAY!
Brethren, our Father is an orchestrator who arranges and directs things of his creation to accomplish his desire purposes;  his way are unsearchable!

The story of John the Baptist conception and birth, of the essence, is similar to that of the events surrounding the promise and birth of Isaac, son of Abraham and Sarah; in both cases, the couples involved were older folks, who have given up the hopes of bearing children because of barrenness and struck in years:  for e…

(13)  Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth;  comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
(14)  But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:  for they are foolishness unto him:  neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

THE REVELATIONS OF GOD
Brethren, whenever the Holy Spirit gives revelations through the spirits, it is the mind of our Father, instructing believers, either to do his will, receive abundance of blessings or notify them of the evil plans of their enemies; therefore, when we receive revelations through dreams, visions, prophecies, and ministrations, let us not label them as meaningless, or nonsensical; they are not!  For the scripture clearly, states that our Father speaks to…

CHEER UP! IT IS NOT OVER YET!
Brethren, many generations before Jesus Christ was born, the LORD sent Prophet Isaiah to King Ahaz, with a word, to strengthen, encourage him, not to be afraid of his enemies;  hold right there!  many times, as believers, when enemies rise up against us, whether spiritually or physically;  let us not take matters into our own hands, to prove anything, fight against those who fight against us, but rather, pray fervently, called upon Jesus Christ to take absolute control of our predicaments, prevail against those enemies, sit back, relax and enjoy his victories.

Prophet Isaiah said to King Ahaz, "Ask thee a sign of the LORD thy God;  ask it either in the depth or in the height above."  But King Ahaz replied, "I will not ask, neither will I tempt the LORD."  what an unshakable faith!…

(26)  If any man come to me and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP
Brethren, who is a disciple?  (i)  a disciple is someone who is a follower of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, (ii)  someone who educates his/herself by taking lessons from an intellect, in other to equip themselves to train, educate, and teach others;  however, to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, one has to put him first in all areas of their lives; when one hears his voice callings them to come unto him, one ought to fully response, forsake all worldly things, cast away their own personal desires, and focus their minds, hearts and souls entirely only on what matters to him;  many times one has to forsake it all, walk away from relations, secular jobs, wilfully, totally, joyfully surrender themselves, take up their crosses and follow him; cf. Matthew 16:25.

Due to the fact…

(43)  And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

THE APPOINTED TIME OF GOD!

Brethren, the LORD is good!  His ways are incomprehensible, no human being can fully understand who he is;  or the ways in which he engineers all things within his own creation, to work together for good;  therefore, in all circumstances, whether good or bad,  let us not doubt him, but pray and give praises unto him through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, never disengage ourselves from him to believe in other mini-gods, associate with them, but continue to abide in his steadfast love, and wait patiently for his appointed time to fulfill his promises in our lives.

GOOD LORD!
Brethren, we are in the advent month, believers over the world are in expectations to welcome our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ once again into the world;  while we are preparing for his arrival, let us ask ourselves the following questions;  (i)  what are we really preparing for?  (ii)  are we preparing to delight in ourselves, one another, or delight in his coming to save the world?  (iii)  what do we need to focus on, besides the shopping list and sight-seeings?  let us think deeply about these questions, prioritize on what really matters, which is the love of our Father that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him, should not perish but have eve…

THE BOTTOM LINE IS!
Brethren, when Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, ascended into heaven, he asked our Father to sent down the Holy Ghost unto his disciples;  the Father agreed, his request was granted, the Holy Ghost descended upon his apostles on the day of Pentecost, while they were all with one accord, in a place, cf. Acts 2:  however, the question is, who is the Holy Spirit? do we fully know him?  how he operates among believers, within the body of Christ, from the temples of our hearts throughout the world for Christ?  the following scriptures sheds the lights upon the subject;  let's ponder on these verses;  the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth, given to testify about Jesus Christ, cf. John 15:26, 16:13, 14:17;  he is, the comforter, abiding with believers forever, cf. John…
