DAILY BREAD OF LIFEfor

(KJV.)  MATTHEW 9:37-38

(37)  Then saith he unto his disciples,  The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
(38)  Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

NOW HIRING

(37)  Then saith he unto his disciples,  The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;  Brethren, in this chapter, (i)  Jesus was doing his Father's will in towns villages, and churches; preaching the good news of the kingdom, healing diseases and sicknesses; therefore, as believers, called out of darkness into marvelous lights of our heavenly Father, our duties and responsibilities are not just in sanctuaries alone, but we are called to serve Jesus Christ wherever we go on planet earth;  at times, we came across people, who lives are being troubled by demonic entities, and we see their manifestations on afflicting body parts,  what do we do in cases like these?  if we cannot approach them with their issues, we are to pray for them to be delivered, not to turn away feeling sorry for them;  (ii)  for, when Jesus saw what was going on among the crowds, he had mercy on them, for they were exhausted and disorganized, like sheep without shepherd;  as  believers, if we hear of disasters happening all over the world; let us also have mercies, show that we care, do our best to help them; if possible, we can do fund raising in our churches,and contribute towards their welfare; some may say, we do not have enough funds to help out;  friends having enough or not having enough are not issues;  issues are, lives are in troubles, and believers are called to help in negative situations; therefore, the little we can effort to do will go a long way, and collectively our little contributions will become a lot of cash to help with shelter, food, water and clothing for those victims;  for, it is written, "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves." (James 1:22); (iii)  then said Jesus to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful but there are not enough workers;  therefore, Jesus is still looking for workers for his vineyards; currently, if we are looking for something to do for Jesus Christ, there are plenty of work to do everywhere on planet earth.

However, let start from our neighborhoods, there are elderly widows and widowers that need helps to carry groceries home from grocery shopping, mow their lawns, shovel snows or just to chit chat with someone; Jesus is asking you and I, are we available to help out?;  on our sides streets, we observe the homeless, hungry souls, and handicaps begging for money to for food or clothing; do we care enough to give them something?;  in our hospitals and nursing homes,  there are patients fighting for their lives, and are in agonies, aches and pains;  do we care enough to pray for them?;  in cities and neighborhoods, there are kids on street corners everywhere like scattered sheep with no shepherds, looking for something to do, to avoid getting into troubles; are we available to bring them together, engage them in educational or recreational activities to get them off our streets?;  let ask ourselves, why all these crimes?  and if we put criminals away, are we available to visit them, to minister the gospel to them? do we even care what happens to them in incarceration?  Jesus cares about them; for it is written; "Then shall he answer them, saying,  Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me." (Matthew 25:45);  believers, fields are ready for harvesting, and Jesus Christ is looking for laborers, are you available for work?  this is the ponder point for today.

(38)  Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.  Brethren, if we are not available to labor for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; we can pray to the Master of the gathering of crops, our heavenly Father to provide his laborers, for his vineyards to gather his crops;  prayer works, all negative phenomenons going on in this world are works of evil from principalities and powers of darkness; and our heavenly Father knows about their evil devises towards humanity; therefore, let pray unto him, ask for divine interventions in affairs of this world, and for helps to put asunder all evil works of the enemy forever; believers, if we are not available to do goodwill towards others who are in difficult situations, we can intercede with prayers on their behaves and it will be well with them by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; are we available to work for Jesus today?

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, in this world, all things are to interact with each other;  we cannot build a building without necessary building materials, we cannot make peace but secretly plan warfare against one another;  we cannot be lukewarm Christians, act like we do not care for what happens to our fellow brethren and in this world; for what does not concern us today, may concern our grandchildren later on; therefore, let us get involve now with love for one another through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!
