DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  1 CORINTHIANS 15:12-14

(12)  Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?
(13)  But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
(14)  And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and our faith is also vain.

IS THERE LIFE AFTER DEATH?

(12)  Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?  Brethren, we read in the scriptures, how Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior suffered and was crucified on the cross, died and rose again from the death after three days in the pit of Hades;  his disciples testified of events related to his death and resurrection; today, (i)  believers can also testify of his promise of the Holy Spirit, the comforter, sent down from the Father, in the name of Jesus Christ to teach us all things, (John 14:26); and he resides in our innermost spirits; to quicken and sealed our mortal bodies until the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30);  (ii)  at the present time, if we preach the good news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; for what reasons would some of you doubt that there is no resurrection for those who sleep in death?  if we have any doubts, let us ask ourselves this question; is Jesus Christ still in the tomb?  brethren, let us not get confused by evil words of unbelievers, but hold steadfastly to what we believe that Jesus Christ dead and rose again from the dead;  (iii)  if we believe that Jesus died and rose again from the dead; even so them also which sleep in Jesus will our Father quicken and bring with him;  therefore, let us not worry ourselves and be sadden like unbelievers who does not have hopes in eternity; but believe that there is eternal life after death on earth, we just have to receive Jesus Christ into our hearts as Lord and Savior, have faith in his righteousness and inherit life everlasting:  (iv)  and to those who have lost love ones and are sorrowful;  let us wipe away our tears, if our love ones died in the Lord, their souls are not completely lost in pits of Hades; they will rise again on judgment day and we will unite again as one family in life everlasting; therefore, let us be strengthen and have hope in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore.

(13)  But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:  Brethren,  some will say there is no resurrection after death; that perfectly alright, and that is their opinions, we are all entitled to our opinions;  however,  (i)  if there is no such thing as resurrection of the death, then Jesus Christ was never raised from the death; and he did not die on the cross at all, but escaped crucifixion and death as others believed; and if such is the case then, his blood that was not shed on the cross for our iniquities;  therefore, we are not redeemed, there is no salvation, grace and life everlasting;  (ii)  if the blood was shed at all on the cross, but it was never his blood;  then our sins were never forgiven, but remains, and as a result, we are all hell bound with burdens of iniquities upon our shoulders;  is that the case?  (iii)  however, that is not what happened;  the devil is a liar, the evidence is pretty clear in the scriptures;  Jesus at his death on the cross cried out and said; " Father forgive them for they no not what they do."; (Luke 23:34);  brethren, it was Jesus who spoke these words at the point of his death, not somebody else;  let us not get confused as unbelievers that he was not crucified on the cross or resurrect from the dead;  but be steadfast in faith, in his righteousness;  (iv)  when Jesus rose up early, the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, the one who he cast out seven devils. (Mark 16:9);  therefore, it was Jesus who rose up again from the tomb, appeared unto her and not the keeper of the garden, as formulated by unbelievers;  (v)  eight days after Jesus resurrection Jesus appeared unto his disciples, Thomas was with them, then came Jesus, the doors being shut,  he stood among them and said, Peace be unto you; and asked Thomas to reach out his finger, and behold his hands; and reach hither his hand, and thrust it into his sides and be believing: this is the evidence  that Jesus rose again from the dead and appeared unto his disciples and encourage doubting Thomas to believe in him and his resurrection from the tomb;  if we still have any doubts about who Jesus Christ is, let us pray and ask him to enlighten our ways in his righteousness and answer our questions; and not doubt his authenticity; for, the scriptures are true words of our Father, and prophecies leading to the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore.

(14)  And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and our faith is also vain.  Brethren, if Jesus Christ did not rise again from the dead as recorded in the scriptures; then our preaching is not true, spiritually ineffective and futile; for we give people false hopes; and we ourselves have no solid foundations of our believes in what we preach to others; and all things are worthless, without real significance values or importance to humanity;  how could this be?  As believers, foundation of our faith is Jesus Christ, his birth and ministry, death and resurrection, hopes of his second coming and life everlasting; without these there are no other bases for Christianity;  therefore, let us hold fast to our believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again from the death, ascended into heavenly places, sited on right hand of the Father as an advocate, pleading for mercies on our behalves, that our sins should be forgiven, and be given second and third chances to walk in righteousness; what an amazing grace!

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, let us know for sure, that there is everlasting life with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, after we sleep in death on earth, we will rise again on the day of judgment to be joint heirs with him in eternity;  therefore, there is no worries, today, what matters is; if we have not receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior into our hearts yet, but still waiting for certain day to come, we may not make it to heaven;  so, let us come unto him now, before it is too late, and our souls are lost in pits of darkness; may this not be our portion, Jesus is the only way to salvation and life everlasting; there is no other way;  let us come unto him now and have the grace to be with him after we sleep in death and are resurrected forever and evermore.   Amen and Amen!

QUOTES OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  2 Timothy 2:18-19  Who concerning the truth have erred,  saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some...Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal,  The Lord knoweth them that are his,  And,  Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
