DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  LUKE 10:5-7

(5)  And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say,  Peace be to this house.
(6)  And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it:  if not, it shall turn to you again.
(7)  And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give for the labourer is worthy of his hire.  Go not from house to house.

PEACE BE UNTO YOU!

Brethren, why is it necessary for believers to wish other people well, regardless of who they are, what they have done, doing wrongly or how we feel about them?;  the answer is, as believers and followers of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, some of his attributes are to genuinely love and wish people well; therefore, we ought to emulate him in all our ways; for as we wish for others, so shall it be unto us;  in the above text of today; Jesus appointed other seventy disciples, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, wherever he intended to go himself; before they proceeded, he gave them series of instructions including his words above; first of all, let us look at the word Peace in the text from biblical point of view;  the word Peace is normally used by people of godliness as greetings of blessings, to bid farewell to others, to request quietness or ,silence within an audience: in reference to the text of today, Jesus instructed his disciples, saying that before they entered into any household, to first of all say, "Peace be to this house."; therefore, Peace was used as a salutation, prayer requesting the grace of God upon that house;  however, as Christ believers of this century, do we greet others that we come across everyday with prayers of peace, love, and of grace?;  if not, let us cultivate the habits of wishing other people well regardless of who they are, believers or unbelievers;  for,  it is written, "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." (Luke 6:31); therefore, we have to start somewhere, can you imagine what will happen in this world, if humanity will see one another through the perspective of Jesus Christ and love one another as themselves?

Case in point, Jesus went on to instruct his disciples, "And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it;  let me pause a minute to analyse this phrase, "if the son of peace",  who is the Prince of Peace?;  we all know that Jesus is the Prince of Peace, (Isaiah 9:6);  therefore, in other words, what Jesus is saying to his disciples, is, if his spirit of peace, resides within the walls of that household, and it is a household of faith, and not of witchcraft or sorcerers, then the spirit of peace from innermost spirits of his disciples will yoke together with the spirit of peace in that house, and the spiritual energy of our Father will abide, manifest greatly in that house, they will be accepted as parts of that household, will feel free to minister, fellowship with others inside that household and surrounding neighborhoods; for we cannot preach the gospel, or fellowship with people of certain faith, where we are not welcome in that household or congregation;  Jesus said, (ii)  "if not, it shall turn to you again. case in point, as believers, if we observe our brother or sister, struggling with an issue of life, offers to help out, but our kind gestures are not welcome by the suffering individual, there is nothing more to do, than to back off from the issue, pray and leave things into the hands of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; also, Jesus instructed his disciples, not to try to prove themselves, when rejected by others, but move forward to other households, where they will be accepted to do his will;  at times, believers means well for other believers, and are sent by the Spirit of our Father to help in negative situations, however, the enemy and his infiltration spirits, will blindfolds the eyes of the same people, who need the assistance, to reject what maybe their deliverance from bondage of their enemies;  therefore, let us receive people who we come across everyday with good faith; for, they may be instruments of blessings, victories and protections from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; and carry the mantle of peace and tranquility in his name forever.

Brethren, Jesus said, if we enter into a household of faith, and are accepted, we are to remain in that household, freely eat and drink water, and receive whatever is given to us from that household; for Jesus Christ uses other people to bless and sustain his servants who are dedicated to doing his will; therefore, when we do his will diligently, let us not worry about money or food, or what to say, wear, or focus on other people along the way, who may distract us with worldly things, but focus entirely on our callings with good faith in the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; for, it is written, "Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way." (Luke 10:4); therefore, if we are called into discipleship, let us be encourage to know that it is alright to answer the call; for Jesus already provided all our needs, and there is nothing to fear, worry about for he goes before his disciples, our helps comes from him alone;  for it is written in the book of psalms, "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help...My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." (Psalm 121:1-2);  therefore, as believers, let us pray to our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior everyday for our daily sustenance, he is our provider and shelter through all storms of life; let us trust and believe in him, he rewards those who diligently seek him;  when we are welcomed and accepted in a household of faith, Jesus says, it is alright to dwell in that house and not go from one house to another; for moving around aimlessly, can be a sign of spiritual unstable person, and if we are unstable as water, we shall not excel in anything we do; and an unstable person cannot be trusted; for, it is written, "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. (James 1:8);  therefore, as believers let us pray for spirits of discernment, to focus on rightful pathways, and do the will of our Father as directed by the Spirit of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, let us develop habits of blessings others, with our sanctified mouths of authorities, and not curse anyone, regardless of what they do negatively to our souls; for it is written, "Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not." (Romans 12:14);  when we bless others, we will walk in those blessings ourselves; for we speak things into existence, on the other hand, if we use bad words, rain curses on others, guess what?;  we invite bad omens into our own spirits, and reap whatever we sow into their lives; therefore, today, the Holy Spirit is saying to all believers, "Arise!; shine your lights for the world to see who you are in Jesus Christ, and glorify our Father in heaven; have peace with one to another.":  Peace be unto you forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!
