DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ACTS 18:9-11

(9)   Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision,  Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
(10)  For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
(11)  And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.

DO NOT BE AFRAID; SPEAK UP!

Brethren, as believers, let us walk by dictates of the Holy Spirit; in this chapter, Paul the Apostle of Jesus Christ was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the people that Jesus was Christ; however, the people oppose themselves and blasphemed;  therefore, he shook his raiment and went to the Gentiles instead to preach the gospel; for, it is written; "And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. (Matthew 10:14);  at times, believers engage in unfruitful debates about the word, and unbelievers, tend to mock at them for having disagreements among themselves, and not knowing what they are doing; however, that is not true, truthfulness of the matter is, believers need to focus on doing the will of our Father, and be in unity, as one church, under one Shepherd, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; for united we stand, divided we fall;  in this text, Paul the Apostle, did not waste his time with people who think they knew everything about our Father; he left them alone and went to those who are willing to listen to his words, believed and be baptized into the faith, in the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; therefore, Paul saved more souls for Christ among the unbelievers.

Case in point, per the above text, Jesus spoke to Paul in a vision to encourage him:  (i)  "Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: what an encouragement,  as believers of today, we have encouragements from Jesus Christ to persevere and forbear to finish lines of our assignments; let us obey the voice of the Holy Spirit, which comes by hearing, reading of his words, in dreams and visions and through prophecies of holy men and women of our Father;  let us do the will of Jesus Christ, as instructed by the Holy Spirit, minister words of encouragements and pray for others, seek peace and pursue it;  when we do things that pleases Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit's anointing and empowerment will be upon our souls, miracles, signs and wonders will manifest on earth, the death will rise back to life, the lame will stand up and walk, the blinds will see in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;   (ii)  For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee:  therefore, let us not be timid but be bold and brave in spreading the gospel to unbelievers, believers of other faiths, for there is nothing to fear; Jesus is with us, and if we have him on our sides, no man can prevail against us to hurt us;  however, we may say;  then why are all these persecutions all over the world, if Jesus is with us; friends, in the past, after Jesus ascension into heaven, the Holy Spirit empower his disciples and they preached the gospel all over the world without fear of enemies; as we all know, they were persecuted and killed for righteousness sake; however, every Apostle that died, became seed planted for Christianity in that part of the world, Christianity greatly multiplied; therefore, there are reasons why things has to be the way they are right now, and those reasons are known to Jesus Christ, the owner of the universe; also, it is stated in the scriptures, "And fear not them which kill the body; but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28);  therefore, let us fear our Father, and do his will, receive greater rewards in eternity.

Brethren, let us be aware that, regardless of what we accomplish on earth, we will someday sleep in death, whether we sleep in death at an early age or are given the grace to live longer than three score and ten years; someday, we will go back home where we belong to our Father;  the question we need to ask ourselves is, where are we going from here, if we do not know for sure where we are going yet, let us choose rightful pathways into life everlasting;  (iii)  For I have much people in the city:  if we have been assured by Jesus Christ that there are many believers all over the world, then there is nothing to fear for we are not alone, when we go out of our neighborhoods, cities and nations of the world to do his will; for Jesus is with us everywhere we go, and assured us again in Luke 21:18  "But there shall not an hair of your head perish.";  Paul the Apostle continued there in Corinth a year and six months, teaching the word of our Father among them:  brethren, let us not give up in spreading the words of our Father, if we have the assurances of Jesus Christ, that all is well with us, regardless of how we feel about ourselves, then it is well to go ahead, stand our faith grounds, continue to do his will until trumpets will sound in heavenly places for his second coming to earth, and life everlasting.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ is encouraging believers not to be afraid, but persevere with faith in his righteousness, and do the work of our Father throughout the world; therefore, let us not waste time on things that are not important to our salvation, but rather focus on spreading words of our Father, and save souls for eternity, for Jesus Christ is with us forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTES OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Matthew 19-20  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:...Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
