SERVE ONE ANOTHER .....

MATTHEW 20:25-28

(25)  But Jesus called them unto him and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.  (26) But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;  (27) And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:  (28) Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, in this context Jesus teaches us to be humble and serve others.  Jesus, (son of God) when on earth became a servant to all.
(John 13:5)  After that he poureth water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
Jesus demonstrated his service to mankind by washing and wiping his disciples feet; as believers, we need to serve one another as he served us.  We do not have to wash anyone's feet as Jesus did to show our service to one another but we could serve in (churches, communities, voluntary organizations, places of work, or in our families).
Brethren, to be recognized and rewarded for our service; we need to go the extra mile with our service to others, e.g. (offer our seats to elderly on the bus, help a child cross the street from a school bus stop, ) etc...  Let us do service to one another with no expectations.  The scripture says in due time, we will be rewarded.
(Psalms 75:6-7)  For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
(7) But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren in the Lord,  when we work so hard in any field, let us believe that we are working for GOD and not for man; as a result, if man refuse to acknowledge our hard work, we will not give up for GOD knows about our efforts and in due time will release blessing upon us through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
