LOVE YOUR ENEMIES

MATTHEW 6:44

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them  that hate you, and pray for them which despite-fully use you, and persecute you.


COMMENTARY:

Brethren in the Lord, Jesus in this context would like us to love our enemies; and show mercy to those who hate, and persecute us.
How can we love our enemies?  (Yes we can)  If we pray to God for the spirit of love, the Holy Spirit will give us the power to love one another. In our prayers, let us ask the Holy Spirit to give our enemies change of heart from doing evil, but not to curse them, Christ will take control of our persecutions.  
As believers, Christ loved us and forgave us of all our sins on the cross of Calvary; therefore, we ought to forgive one another.  When our enemies hurt us with (gossips, backbiting, revealing  secrets, tarnishing images, and despite-fully uses us), Jesus says to forgive and bless them in return, for he will justify us.

CONCLUSION:   

(Luke 6:27)  But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you.
Brethren, we are to love our enemies always and leave the rest to Jesus!  Amen and Amen!
