LUKE 6:33-36
(33) And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. (34) And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. (35) But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. (36) Be ye therefore merciful, as your father also is merciful.
COMMENTARY:
Brethren in the Lord, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, would like us to do good regardless of who is in need; if we only help our friends and family who are in need, then we are not in his will. His will is for us to step up and help one another and not expect to receive back from doing so; we are to provide help to all such as (a beggar, homeless, victims of hurricanes, earthquakes and starvation), all over the world.
Mathew 5:44- 45: But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. (45) That ye may be the children of your father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
CONCLUSION:
Brethren in the Lord, nature's natural disasters such as the earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes and storms do not discriminate between good and bad people; therefore, it's our task as children of GOD to reach out to those who are in need and provide the help by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are to show mercy on people as he is also merciful to us everyday. Amen and Amen!
