DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  JOHN 15:17-19

(17)  These things I command you, that ye love one another.
(18)  If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
(19)  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hated you.

YOU KNOW I DO LOVE YOU!

Brethren, the greatest commandment of all, is to love one another as ourselves; for the Father loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16);  the word love, per dictionary definitions; is to have profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person, and the lists goes on and on;  the fact is we love our Father, because we are his children; but the question is, how can we love him whom we have not seen, but cannot genuinely love people we interact with everyday?;  this is a mystery!

Case in point, if spirits of our Father resides within our mortal bodies, we were created in his image, then we possess same attributes, and love is his greatest attribute;  therefore, to be Christlike, let us not love in words alone, but show love in actions and goodwill;  give to the poor and needy, take care of elderly, widows and widowers; for if we love only those that love us, what is our rewards?; for, Jesus showed his love and compassion to the multitude in the desert place, where he fed the hungry multitude with five loaves of bread and two fishes;  (Matthew 14:19-21);  again, he fed the great multitude with seven loafs of bread and few fishes. (Matthew 15:34-38):  therefore, if we have love for one another, we will extend ourselves to do more, show compassion to others, not just love in words alone, but will express our love for one another with goodwill and compassion;  "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knows God." (1 John 4:7).

Brethren, as believers, at times, we wonder why we have so many enemies, even people we have not met in our lives, will hate us to the extend of speaking evil to destroy our lives;  today, Jesus is saying if we are hated in this world, it is because the world hated him first; and if we belong to him, walk in his righteousness, his lights of glories are shinning in our lives; people of darkness will see our lights, and as darkness cannot associate with lights; so they will hate us, move away from our lights, and there will be spiritual disagreements;  let us not reciprocate with hatred, but rather love, pray for them to repent from ways of darkness, to receive salvation and life everlasting;  however, if we belong to world of darkness, associate with their evil works, the world will love his own, accept our waywardness as normal behaviors, cheer us on to walk in ungodliness into eternal damnation; but since we are not of this world, but we are chosen out of world of darkness into marvelous lights of our Father, through the sufferings, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to be shinning lights of this world; as enemies hated Jesus Christ, for no apparent reasons, they will also hate his followers;  in this modern generation, believers, are still facing persecutions and death penalties for righteousness sake everyday, minutes and seconds;  therefore, if we are lucky to be in nations where there are no sufferings and persecutions of believers of Jesus Christ;  let us not turn our backs on those are are being persecuted for righteousness sake but pray for them at all times; and if we are hated by people of this world because of who we are in Jesus Christ;  let us forgive them their trespasses;  when they hated Jesus, and hang him on the cross,  he prayed for them; saying, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do.........(Luke 23:34);  therefore, let us continue to believe and trust in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, pray for our enemies, to repent and accept him before it is too late to receive salvation and life everlasting;  Jesus is coming soon!

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved,   our Father is love, if we reside in love, we reside in him, and our Father resides in in our lives; and our love is completed in him that we may be counted worthy before the throne of judgment; and because we possess his attributes, we need not fear no foes, if we are completely in his love, for fear comes with worries, anxieties and sickness, but, if we fear not, we stand perfectly in love, and know that our Father cares about what happens to our souls, for we dwell in love and he first loves us; however if we hate our brothers or sisters, his love is not complete in us, and we miss our roadways to life everlasting; therefore, let us come unto Jesus Christ today; and receive greater share of his love, salvation, grace and peace forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!
