DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

Gratitude

(KJV.)  PROVERBS 18:21

(21)  Death and life are in the power of the tongue:  and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

WHY, WHY AND WHY?

Brethren, as short as this text is, it carries a stronger message that affects humanity everyday;  (i) when we wake up in the mornings, we use our mouths to pray to our Father to give us this day our daily bread, victories, protections and blessings; few hours later, if we should disagree with anyone, in any kind of ways, we use the same mouth to speak evil against them;  King Solomon, the writer of book of Proverbs, is alerting you and I to be careful with our mouths;  saying, (ii)  Death and life are in the power of the tongue:  if, that is the case, believers, let us be careful what we pronounce, say to others;  for, whether negative or positive connotations, words do manifest;  case in point,  if spirit of our Father, creator of all things, resides in our mortal bodies, and our Father spoke all things into existence;  then we possess same powers to speak evil or good into existence, upon our lives, and to express what we think and how we feel about others, negatively or positively words do manifest; consequently,  let us refrain from speaking evil connotations against people;  when we speak evil against others; insult, demean, to wound their hearts, make them feel sad and sorrowful, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ feels their emotions as well, and will fight their battles for them;  (iv)  when we speak evil upon people lives;  in other words, we wish that evil should happen to them, but as believers, we are to love one another as ourselves, be our brothers keepers, uplift one another's spirits with words of encouragements and of wisdom, knowledge and understandings;  on the other hand, when we speak evil upon people lives;  we manifest evil works of the enemy, and infiltration spirits have taken control of our hearts, and we are in troubles ourselves;  for, it is written; "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things," (Matthew 12:35).

Brethren, as children of the Most High Father, our mouths are sanctified by the Holy Spirit, there are angels walking and working with us at all times; when we gossip, backbite, insult, and demean one another, they record our words against us, on the day of judgment every idle word we speak, will be counted against us;  for, it is written, "But I say unto you,  That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment...For by words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shall be condemned." (Matthew 12:36-37);  therefore, let us be careful of our utterances, bless and not curse people we do not like or disagree with on matters;  if we speak ill of others, knowingly or unknowingly, we will reap what we sow, same measures will be measured back unto us;  it is written, "For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged:  and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again" (Matthew 7:2);  therefore,  let us beware that when we rain insult on people, even on our own children and family members, we are wishing evil upon their lives; after we say all things, whether negative of positive connotations; in due times, our Father will judge righteously, and will repay all haters;  for our Father is not a respecter of man;  therefore, let us refrain from speaking guileful and demeaning words against people, who are vulnerable;  if we have any misunderstandings with others, the appropriate things to do, is to have discussions, talk out differences, in respectful ways and live peaceably with all men;  for, it is inappropriate to use demeaning words of hatred against people we dislike or disagree with, whether in their presence or backstabbing them; rather, let us refrain from all these evil actions and walk in the righteousness of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved,  our tongues are sanctified and powerful, but let us use them wisely, to pronounce blessings upon people lives, not to speak evil against one another;  today, Jesus Christ is saying to us, "See, it is I who have created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc; no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of servants of the LORD, and this is their vindications from me."(Isaiah 54:16-17);  therefore, let us not worry about enemies, they are created to be destroyed, rather let us focus on Jesus Christ, salvation and eternity; if we have not yet received him into our hearts as Lord and Savior, today is the day; let us come unto him with all our labors and heavy laden, and he will give us rest forever and evermore. Jesus Saves!  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Ephesians 4:29  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
