(KJV.) PSALM 91:1-7
(2) I will say of the LORD. He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
(3) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
(4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
(5) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
(6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
(7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
JEHOVAH IS OUR REFUGE!
Brethren, we all know that all things created belongs to the most High, our Father, the Almighty; he gave humanity grace to make rightful choices in life; either to walk in godliness into life everlasting or ungodliness, walk after fleshly desires of this world, refuse to repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and perish in Hades eternal damnation; the question is, what is your choice?
Today, the Psalmist is saying that whosoever resides in the hidden abode of the highest magnitude, will dwell under the protection of our Father; therefore, let us testify of our safety in him, that (i) he is our shelter from all storms of life, spiritual warfare, perils and dangers of this world of darkness; therefore, no matter how rigid our troubles maybe, let us rest peacefully in his stronghold, trust him, and know that our Almighty Father; will deliver us from devises of our predators, and from enemy attacks, ailments and natural disasters; we will not perish but have life everlasting; (ii) for in times of troubles, our Father will protect us with shield and under his banner, we will be safe and believe in him; for his actual existence will be our protection and defense against our predators; therefore, let us not fear no foes, but only trust and believe in Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior; for in times of troubles, he will deliver us from all evil and we will praise his Holy Name forevermore.
Brethren, let us not fear or have anxieties over what enemies can do to harm our souls, or be afraid of what goes on negatively in this world of wickedness; if we are redeemed, and walk in the righteousness of our Father through Jesus Christ, pray and read his words daily, we have Sacred blood of Jesus as protections over our souls, and regardless of untimely evil occurrences all over the world, nothing will happens to us; case in point, Noah was a righteous man, in his generation; therefore, when our Father decided to destroy children of perdition with the earth, he choose Noah to build an ark to house him and his household; and every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort, male and female into the ark to keep them alive; and every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground and Noah only remained alive and they that were with him in the ark. (Genesis 7); therefore, Jesus knows those who belong to him; he will not allow us to perish in hands of our enemies, but will protect our lives from perils and dangers of this world forevermore; therefore, it is written, "He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still."(Rev. 22:11).
CONCLUSION:
Dearly beloved, as believers, we have banners of protections over our souls at all times, which is the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on cross of Calvary; let us not fear what enemies can do, but trust and believe in our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, pray, praise and thank him for his goodness and mercies that endures forever; and persevere in faith of his righteousness into life everlasting; Jesus is coming soon, come unto him and receive salvation, grace and peace forever and evermore. Amen and Amen!
