DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  DANIEL 4:27

(27)  Wherefore,  O king,  let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility.

PEACE BE STILL!

Brethren, in a not shell; during the reign of the prideful King Nebuchadnezzar, our Father decided to teach him a lesson on humility; therefore, he showed him a dream, that he could not understand; and no one in his dominion could interpret the dream, but our Father gave Daniel his servant the meaning of the dream;  our Father used the dream as a two edged sword for his own purposes;  (i) our Father used the dream interpretation as a platform to exonerate his servant Daniel into higher position of authority in the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar;  case in point, our Father showed the King a dream, that no one else could understand or interpret, gave his servant Daniel, understanding and interpretation of the dream, that the King may know to give all glory to him alone, when no one could reveal secrets of the dream but only his godly servants could do so;  (ii) our Father, revealed secrets of the dream to his servant Daniel, gave him the interpretation in other for the King to know that he was the giver and interpreter of the dream, and honor his words and humble himself before him;  again, (iii)  our Father gave the king, the dream of what he intended to do to him, because of his meanness to his servants, his prideful, arrogance attributes, claiming glory that belongs to him alone.

Fruits of thoughts, after Daniel gave the King interpretation of the dream; he also advised him saying; (a)  let my counsel be acceptable unto thee;  as believers, at times, when we are at crossroads in life, we tend seek counsels from others;  however, if we need to seek counsel from others or to be counselled by others;  let us be careful, make sure that our counselors are godly men and women of faith, who are oracles of our Father, not from soothsayers, fortune tellers and evil surmising spirits working for the enemy, to derail people in the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  (b)  and break of thy sins by righteousness;  in this generation, we dare not talk about sin, for we believe that all our sins are forgiven, by suffering, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  yes!  that is absolutely correct;  however, if we are redeemed, let us walk in righteousness, so we can inherent the promises of our Father to dwell in heavenly places with Jesus Christ forevermore; for, gates of Hades is open for those who refuse to repent, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and walk in ungodliness;  (c)  and thy iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor;  we talk about taking care of the poor and needy, at all times;  whenever, we do these kind gestures, we do them for our Father and for our own selves;  for it is written, "Cast thy bread upon the waters; for thou shall find it after many days."(Eccl. 11:1);  therefore, as believers, let us show mercy on others, for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will also shew mercy upon us and our family members; for his mercies endures forever;  and it is written in book of Acts 20:35;  "I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said,  It is more blessed to give than to receive.";  are we sharing our blessings with the poor yet?

Brethren, at times, directly or indirectly, by our actions and behaviors, we hinder our peace on this earth;  Daniel interpreted the dream to King Nebuchadnezzar, and advised him to humble himself to overcome the wrath of our Father, however, after twelve months, the King forgot the advise Daniel gave him;  he opened up his mouth and spoke with prideful and arrogance connotations; saying "Is not this great Babylon, that I have build for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?"  however, while the word was in his mouth, a voice spoke from heaven, saying, ...The kingdom is departed from thee." (Daniel 4:30-31);  King Nebuchadnezzar's dilemma was pronounced upon him; he was driven from men, to dwell with the beast of the field: to eat grass as oxen, for seven years, until he learns his lesson that the most High Father rules in the kingdom of men, and gives dominion to whomsoever he will.

Brethren, let us not place ourselves as stumbling blocks on other peoples ways, for they maybe in our Father's authorities on earth for his own purposes, but rather allow God to be God; for he is in control of his creation and can do whatever he pleases;  for, at the same hour when heaven spoke, the King's dream was fulfilled, he became a beast, was driven out from men;  however, our Father was still merciful to him, and restored him back unto the throne, after his punishment was over in seven years;  what a terrible lesson to learn;  let us be careful; for, it is written, "It is fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."(Hebrew 10:31);  when we receive our Father's blessings, let us know that all things came from him, not from our own human efforts, and we receive them by his grace, for his purposes on earth; and give him all glory due to him forevermore;  (v)  also, let us be careful what we say or do with our blessings,  for his eyes are watching our behaviors, he ears are open to our utterances; therefore, let us worship, praise and adore him at all times, and know that he is our Father the giver and doer of all things;  let us move away from prideful and arrogance behaviors, but show humility, walk in righteousness into life everlasting;  may our Father's mercies never depart from our lives forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ died on the cross, to redeem humanity from all sins, grant salvation and eternity to those who believe in him as Lord and Savior; today, if we are in any kind of storm, let us have enormous faith, trust in him, know that in due times, he will rebuke our storms and grant us peace everlasting; while we are still in the storm, let us pray without ceasing, call upon his Holy Name; with Jesus nothing is impossible, let us come unto him with all fears, worries and anxieties and receive peace forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:
