EL ELOHIM MINISTRIES: DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  PROVERBS 23:31-33

(31)  Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
(32)  At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
(33)  Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.

BE NOT A WINE BIBBER

Brethren, as believers and followers of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, let us do everything in moderation; as the year 2014 rolls away in few hours;  at times, those of us who make it through the year gets too excited to a point that we go out of our comfort zones to join others to party and make Merry to welcome the New Year; that is perfectly alright with Jesus Christ; only it becomes a problem when we drink excessively and we need to drive home from our merry making points to places of abodes; when we drink alcohol excessively, we lose control of our thought process and if care is not taken, our behaviors and attitudes may endanger or destroy innocent lives;

Case in point, let us study what the scriptures has to say about the subject; (31)   Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.  that is, we are not to gaze at the wine or any alcohol substance in cups or pay too much attention to its contents when it sparkles and bubbles in bottles, glasses or cups, if we admires its contents in our hands, it will look very enticing for our appetites to consume its contents; for the enemy may wet our appetites to taste and see how good it may be just to lure us to sin against ourselves; do not get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with having a glass of alcohol or two if we have to be sociable but the enemy knows how to work on our weaknesses to lure us into ungodliness; therefore, let us be careful not to fulfill enemy desires but rather be entice by the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit, pray, praise and glorify the Father of all creation and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for his goodness and mercies that endures forevermore.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION:

Points to ponder, when we yield to dictates of the flesh to drink alcohol a glass or two; sometimes, one or two glasses may lead to many more cups or glasses and infiltration spirits will take control of our states of minds; this verse is warning us on what to expect when we yield to temptations of drinking alcohol; (32)  At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder. that is, first the alcohol bubbles and sparkles, looks good and appetizing in cups or glass but not moving or shaking excessively; however, if we fail to control ourselves but gobble up its contents; amazingly, when it goes down our throats it pinches, cutting and staggering into our stomachs like a snake and will rise back up again within us like a venous viper to take control of our thought processes and direct our ways to manifest ungodly behaviors and attitudes to bring back the old man which Jesus Christ had already redeemed us from with his sacred blood shed on the cross of Calvary.

Fruits of thoughts,  when the enemy takes control of our thought processes, our actions become uncontrollable; the scriptures says, (33)  Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.  that is, when we are under the influence of drinking excessive alcohol; all of sudden, we forgot other commitments and we fall into temptations of lusts; though we have spouses or committed relationships, we are tempted to be with other men and women we have not known, to lure them on our sides, we lie and behave ourselves in ways unacceptable to society and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  however, if we stay in the spirit, pray to thank the Father and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior for taking good care of us throughout the whole year, the LORD will be pleased with us, and will guide, protect, bless and grant us everlasting peace in the coming years.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved,  the scriptures did not say we should not drink alcohol; the point here is, at times we drink excessively and lose control of our thought processes and commit atrocities against one another; however, let us rather be filled with the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit; Apostle Paul in his letter to the Ephesians 5 verse 18 to 19, says "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess, but the filled with the Spir'it;..Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your hearts to the Lord;"  beloved, this is what we should call drunkenness and merry making to welcome year 2015 with safe and sound minds in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Galatians 5:16  This  I say then,  Walk in the Spir'it, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
