DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ST. LUKE 11:2-4

(2)  And he said unto them,  When ye pray,  say,  Our Father which art in heaven,  Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
(3)  Give us day by day our daily bread.
(4)  And forgive us our sins;  for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.  And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

LORD, TEACH US HOW TO PRAY

Brethren, we are so blessed to have a savior who will teach us all things; Jesus taught his disciples all things that the Father gave him for humanity; and though he is not physically present on planet earth to continue to minister ways of righteousness to humanity, spiritually he is still with us and walking among us; when he ascended unto the Father, he gave us the comforter, the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit who is currently teaching all things the same;  we just have to ask for his wisdom to understand what we need to know in the faith of his righteousness:  if we ask anything in Jesus name, it shall be given to us; seek, we will find; knock, and it shall be opened unto us by his grace forevermore. (Matt. 7:7).

Case in point, in the above text, Jesus while he was with his disciples prayed in a certain place, and when he was done praying, one of his disciples said unto him,  Lord, teach us how to pray,  (i)   And he said unto them,  When ye pray,  say,  Our Father which art in heaven,  Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. this are guidelines given to us by Jesus Christ to pray to the Father, on how to present matters of concerns before him; first of all, we need to  acknowledge him as Father of all creation, the Almighty, glorify and show respect to his Holy Name as supremacy, and ruler of both heaven and earth, and employ his will to manifest in his sovereignty on earth as it is in heavenly places;  (ii)  Give us day by day our daily bread. many a time, we forget that though we work hard to make our own money, to buy our own groceries, to nourish our own physical bodies; we are not our own providers, but, our daily bread comes from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  for, Jesus, opened up doors for us to acquire the jobs, he gave us favors to be placed above only, so we can make enough money to sustain our households; the pay checks we bring home provides groceries for our sustenance; at the end of it all, who provides the food that we eat everyday?  today, we still need his hand of providence to continue to sustain our lives by keeping us on our various jobs and bless us so we are able to continue to have food on our tables to eat everyday:  thank you Jesus!

WORDS OF INSPIRATION:

Point to ponder, when we pray his words back to him, this is the verse that we have to pause, think  and make sure that we really mean what we say;  And forgive us our sins;  for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.  And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.  forgive us our sins, for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us?  are we sure if the words of this phrase are certain that we have forgiven everyone who offended or beholden us?  in another three weeks, year 2014 will roll away, if we are not certain of this phrase, let us purge away all filthiness of our hearts; hurtful and negative connotations brought upon our souls from adversaries, schemes of enemies forces that got us laid off from our jobs so they can have our positions, friends that turned on us to receive promotions at work and pains and agonies from cheating spouses etc...all these are ungodly actions but we can forgive them all and purge out of our hearts; if not they may hinder on our ways to receive blessings of compensations for our troubles from the Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; let us forgive those who trespass against us; for if we forgive men their trespasses, our heavenly Father will also forgive us;...but if we forgive not men their trespasses, neither will the Father forgive our trespasses. (Matt. 6:14-15).

Fruits of thought, when we pray, let us always ask for protections and victories by sacred blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, to lead us from temptations and evil devises of the adversary; for we walk in a world of perils and dangers everyday, therefore, we need the Lord guidance to be at right places at right times; not to walk into any dangerous setups of the enemy, if we work at home and do not interact everyday with the secular world, we still need to pray for protections, victories and peace for the whole worldwide.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren,  today, regardless of what is going on in our lives;  Jesus, is saying to all humanity, "I understand, I suffered, died and rose again from the death for you, and am still walking with you in your troubles, I already know what is bewailing you, do not worry, I will fix it, pray, trust and believe in me; my child it will be well very, very soon!"  (Matt. 11:20) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Daniel 9:19  O Lord, hear;  O Lord, forgive;  O Lord, hearken and do;  defer not, for thine own sake,  O my God:  for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
