DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  1 PETER 3:10-12

(10)  For  HE THAT WILL LOVE LIFE, AND SEE GOOD DAYS, LET HIM REFRAIN HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL, AND HIS LIPS THAT THEY SPEAK NO GUILE.
(11)  LET HIM ESCHEW EVIL, AND DO GOOD; LET HIM SEEK PEACE, AND ENSUE IT.
(12)  FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE OVER THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ARE OPEN UNTO THEIR PRAYERS: BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THEM THAT DO EVIL.

WALK IN GODLINESS

Brethren, as followers of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, we are to portray fruits of repentance in our actions, thoughts and utterances; for it is godly on our part, that humanity observes fruits of righteousness in our daily interactions in society as children of redemption, bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; for the Lord watches over his children at all times, but despises those who walk in ungodliness.

Case in point, today, Apostle Peter is ministering to us on how to walk in godliness; he is saying, (i) For  HE THAT WILL LOVE LIFE, AND SEE GOOD DAYS, LET HIM REFRAIN HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL, AND HIS LIPS THAT THEY SPEAK NO GUILE:  if we are to live longer lives with good health, happiness and abundance of blessings, let us be careful of our spoken words that we do not use our own tongues to destroy, slander, backbite, gossip, cause havoc or speak negatively against one another; for whatever we do to others, along our life journeys, it will be done unto us, and if we do not receive back what we do negatively or positively to one another on planet earth; let us be aware that there is a day of judgment awaiting humanity in heavenly places, no one can escape that day; so let us mind what we say and how we use our words to destroy one another on earth;  (ii) LET HIM ESCHEW EVIL, AND DO GOOD; LET HIM SEEK PEACE, AND ENSUE IT: but rather, my fellow believers, let us try to avoid all wrong doings and not partake of them, but exemplify ourselves with good deeds as believers in Jesus Christ, working for love and peace for humanity and work harder towards putting right things in proper perspectives; regardless of our differences in races, statuses and genders; we can do well together to change the world and make it a better place to live and enjoy ourselves as blessed children of the Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION:

Point to ponder, most Christian believers do not wear their faith on sleeves, as a result, we may not know ourselves as believers just by looking at who is sitting next to us on airplanes, trains or buses; but it is important that we treat everyone we come in contact with in society with love and respect; emulate Christ and view others through the lenses of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; even if they are not yet believers, we can effect changes in their lives by just saying "hello" to a stranger; for we know not what states of minds they maybe and are in need of love from someone who cares about their existence in life; (a)   FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE OVER THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ARE OPEN UNTO THEIR PRAYERS: BUT THE FACE OF THE LORD IS AGAINST THEM THAT DO EVIL:  this verse is an assurance for all believers, that Jesus is faithful to all that trust and believe in him; when we supplicate, pray or pour out our hearts unto him about issues of life, he knows and hears about them all and will never fail his children but will always do what is right for them: but his anger is against those who do evil and will repay them for causing harm and injury to others and delighting in morally bad behaviors,

Fruits of thoughts, dearly beloved, regardless of who we are on planet earth today, collectively we are all children of the Most High God and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  he loves us all both believers and unbelievers the same; however, when we see the light and have received Jesus Christ into our hearts as Lord and Savior, our journeys of repentance should not end up at the altar, we are to go into the world and be his disciples for good works; how do we do this? by touching other lives with good deeds everywhere we go; we can say hello to affect changes in believers sitting next to us in places of worships or do we turn our faces opposite directions when we see those who are not in our statuses or genders coming towards our seats?  we can affect changes by acknowledging others on airplanes, transit trains and buses or do we move to different seats because they look different from what we would like them to look like?  we can affect changes by showing love and paying for cup of coffee  for someone in line at Starbucks or do we turn our faces away when they search into their pockets for changes to pay for a cups of coffees?  we can pay for groceries for a complete stranger standing next to us in the grocery store with couple of items in their hands or do we turn away happy believing that we have been blessed with the goodness and mercies of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior?  It is godly on our part to affect changes in others everyday, do good, seek peace and ensue it all over planet earth.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren, the conclusion of the whole matter is, as Christian believers, let us watch our doings among this world full of perverseness and effect positive changes by living exemplary lives in faith thorough the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  let us not live in shells not caring about what goes on around us and in the world as a whole; if we are to continue with the ministry of Jesus Christ, then we ought to do more for him than just trusting and believing in him; also, let us acknowledge others we come in contact with regardless of who they are, if we say hello to them but they refuse to respond back to us, that alright, Jesus saw what happened and smiling upon us because we made the move to love someone as ourselves; let us do right that we may have causes to approach throne of grace boldly on the day of judgment and receive crowns of glories forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTES OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Psalm 37:23-24  The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD; and he delighteth in his way...Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
