DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

Philippians 1:6:

(KJV.)  ST. LUKE 1:18-20

(18)  And Zacharias said unto the angel,  Whereby shall I know this?  for I am an old man, and my wife struck in years.
(19)  And the angel answering said unto him,  I am Gabriel, that stands in the presence of God;  and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.
(20)  And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS AWAY!

Brethren, our Father is an orchestrator who arranges and directs things of his creation to accomplish his desire purposes;  his way are unsearchable!

The story of John the Baptist conception and birth, of the essence, is similar to that of the events surrounding the promise and birth of Isaac, son of Abraham and Sarah; in both cases, the couples involved were older folks, who have given up the hopes of bearing children because of barrenness and struck in years:  for example, when Abraham received the promise of the birth of Isaac, he fell on his face, laughed, and said in his heart,  "Shall a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old? and shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? cf. Genesis 17:17;  however, the words of our Father are fruitful words, and establishes his purposes, the promise of Isaac's birth was fulfilled when Abraham was hundred years old, cf Genesis 21:5;  therefore, our Father is a covenant-fulfilling Father, if we have received promises from Jesus Christ, today, let us be optimistic, for his promises are about to be fulfilled in this season by his grace.

Case in point;  per the above text, when Zacharia received the good news from the angel Gabriel, that his wife Elizabeth will bear a son, whose name shall be called John; he also questioned the angel, saying,  "Whereby shall I know this?  for I am an old man, and my wife struck in years.";  inferentially, when we receive promises from Jesus Christ, let us not hinder manifestations of the blessings, because of unbelieving hearts and doubtful mindsets, rather, rejoice, embrace the promise, offer thanks and wait for the fulfilments:   in this case, because of unbelief, Zacharia questioned the angel Gabriel, the angel, in turn, humbled him, by making him speechless, until the promise was fulfilled;  at times, in the believers lives, before they receive the fulfillments of the promises of Jesus Christ, they will experience trouble times, the enemy will try to shake their faith grounds to give up on their promises, hinder them from receiving their blessings;  however, if our Father be for us, who can be against us? No one!  Therefore, if we have received the promises of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and are waiting for fulfilments, let us be encouraged to pray, courageously, stand firmly with faith, for the fulfillment times are ripe to receive the blessings.

In conclusion of the matter, Zacharia became dumb, his wife Elizabeth conceived, gave birth to a Son;  on the eighth day when the child was named John per the instructions of the angel Gabriel;  miraculously, Zacharia's mouth opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spoke and praised our Father; somebody who have not spoken a word for more than nine months, spoke on the day that the promise was fulfilled;  therefore, let us give our Father a shout of praise, for he is a wonderful Father!  Subsequently, fear came upon all the neighbors witnessing the glory of our Father that faithful day; and the event was the talk of the town, throughout the hill of Judea, and Zacharia prophesied to the glory of our Father, cf. John 1:57-80;  therefore, as believers, let us trust in Jesus Christ, no matter what we may be facing in life, whether good or bad circumstances, say to ourselves, this too shall pass away, we will receive our blessings!  For his goodness and mercies never fails, but endures forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  St. Matthew 18:10  Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones;  for I say unto you,  That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
