DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ST. LUKE 5:36-38

(36)  And he spake also a parable unto them;  No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old;  if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth, not with the old.
(37)  And no man putteth new wine into old bottles;  else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.
(38)  But new wine must be put into new bottles, and both are preserved.

THE NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

Brethren, as the year 2016 rolls away, and the new year is ushered into our world this midnight;  it is time to list down new year resolutions;  (i)  let us take pens and papers, relax ourselves, think deeply to list the agendas for what we need to tackle in the coming year;  if we still have the old list made for this year, great! we may update the same list, check off what have been accomplished so far this year, reinstate what is yet to be tackled, and add the new agendas for the coming year.

When we double check the list of agendas, surprisingly, we may find some agendas that are still pending on the list, untackled throughout the whole year, and wonder what happened;  friends, until we set our priorities straight in this world, we will continue to mark the time, miss opportunities to open doors, set ourselves up, but never go anywhere or accomplish anything;  therefore, in the coming year 2017, let us set ourselves up for the blessings of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, take the necessary steps one day at a time to accomplish our goals for the new year;  (ii)  after the newer list of agendas is completed, as believers of Jesus Christ, the necessary steps to take are to present our intentions before our Father, ask for his guidance, power of accomplishments, trust him that he had taken control of the itemized list, make the necessary efforts throughout the year to get them done accordingly, and by the grace of Jesus Christ, his power and strength, we are already blessed in the new year.

Fruit of thoughts,  as believers, many times we tend to carry on attributes that are not beneficial to our walk with Jesus Christ,  for the flesh lusteth against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to another:  so that we cannot do the things that we would do, cf. Galatians 5:17;  also, refer to the book of Romans, Apostle Paul said;  "For that which I do I allow not:  for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.";  therefore, let us pray for the power to resist temptations of the enemy, overcome his pestering spirits of lies and deception to walk in ungodliness, rather take charge of our mindsets, hearts, and spirits to walk in the righteousness of our Father through Jesus Christ, let us pour out the old leaven with the old year, that the new leaven may inhabit our innermost spirits forevermore.

In conclusion, let us not be unfruitful in the coming year: rather work the works to become shining examples in this world;  as the year 2017 ball drops down into our world;  let us redo the list of agendas, cross out what we have accomplished this year, make a fresh list of things to accomplish in the new year;  in another aspects of lives, let us pray fervently, ask Jesus Christ to sanctify our spirits, pour down his anointing oils into our vessels, grant us spiritual makeovers, that shines his glories throughout the world of darkness.  I sincerely wish everyone a Peaceful, Safe, and Secure, Happy New Year!  God blessed you all in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forever and evermore!  Amen and Amen!
