DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.) ESTHER 7:3-6

(3)  Then Esther the queen answered and said,  If I have found favour in thy sight,  O King, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request:
(4)  For we are sold,  I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish.  But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen,  I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage.
(5)  Then the King Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen,  Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
(6)  And Esther said,  The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman.  Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

WHERE IS HE THAT TROUBLED THEE?

Brethren, as believers, let us always walk in faith through the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; at times, we try to fight our own battles, but our battles are of the Lord, all we have to do is to call upon the Lord with pureness of hearts to take absolute control of all situations:  when enemies scheme in secret to destroy our lives, let us not worry or fear our foes; for the Lord knows about their evil thoughts before they execute them into actions; we may find out ourselves about their evil deeds or the Lord might reveal their evil plans to us; it does not matter, we only need to call upon the Lord in prayers to intervene and set us free from all evil; regardless of how successful their schemes may be, Jesus Christ will bring to naught and will grant us victories and everlasting peace.

Case in point, in the above text, Haman the Agagite, found favor in the eyes of King Ahasuerus, and was promoted above all princes that were with him; but that was not enough for evil Haman; but because of one man named Mordecai, queen Esther's uncle who refused to bow or reverence him as superior over all princes;  (i) he decided to sign a decree to show his powers to exterminate completely all the Jews in the whole Kingdom of Ahasuerus including Mordecai;  (ii)  But, Esther the queen, being a Jew, was motivated by her uncle Mordecai to intervene to stop his actions by seeking favor on behalves of the Jews from King Ahasuerus;  (iii)  she declared fasting and prayers for all Jews in her jurisdiction including herself, to sought the face of the Lord, to intervene and save his people from destruction in the hands of Haman the Agagite; (iv)  she petitioned illegally for her life and lives of her people before King Ahasuerus, for the Jews were under bondage in his province; however, Haman's schemes to destroy the Jews was in his own prerogative, but King Ahasuerus had no knowledge of  what he had scheme to do;  (v)  Haman was given a little glory by the King; but he selfishly sought more glory for himself by going against children of the Most High God! Alas, he was destroyed by his own schemes; the adversary, the devil was crushed under the feet of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

Points to ponder,  the scripture said, touch not my anointed .....(Psalm 105:15);  Haman schemed to destroy the Jews; King Ahasuerus was wrought, and said, "Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?"  friends, let us be careful who we seek to do evil against, for they may be in good standings with the Lord and our evil doings against them will backfires and be our own downfalls;  (b)  Queen Esther said,  "The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman."  the scriptures said, pray for your enemies...... (Matt 5:44);  when people wrong us, let us not avenge ourselves but pray for deliverance and blessings for them;  for the Lord our vindicator, will take vengeance on our enemies and sustain our lives;  (c)  Then Haman was afraid before the king and made request for his life to queen Esther; "What happened here?" the Lord turned the tables!  (d) Haman erected gallows fifty cubits high in his  house to hang Mordecai the queen;s uncle who had uncovered a plot to kill King Ahasuerus and the King's life was spared; the King became more furious at Haman for what he had intended to do to Mordecai and decided to destroy him forever.

Fruits of thought,  Lastly,  Then the king said, "Hang him thereon!"  Haman hanged on the gallows that he made for Mordicai; today, let us learn lessons from the above text, that we need to do unto others as we wish others to do unto us; if we scheme evil against our fellow brethren, sooner or later, evil will prevail against us; therefore, let us not seek our glories by destroying others, but be content with what the Lord had given unto us, and shine our lights for the whole world to see and give glory to the LORD of hosts through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren,  as believers, when enemies scheme against us, whether spiritually or physically, prayers of faith are keys to overcome all evil works of the enemy; though we may know who our attackers are, it is not in our own prerogatives to retaliate ourselves; let us we seek victories through fasting (optional), prayers and supplications to Jesus Christ our vindicator, he will turn the tables against our enemies and whatever they wish for us will be done unto them by the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Romans 12:19  Dearly beloved,  avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath;  for it is written,  Vengeance is mine;  I will repay,  saith the Lord.
