DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  JEREMIAH 7:4-7

(4)  Trust ye not in lying words, saying,  The temple of the LORD,  The temple of the LORD,  The temple of the LORD, are these.
(5)  For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour;
(6)  If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt:
(7)  Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever.

AMEND YOUR WAYS AND YOUR DOINGS:

Brethren, as believers, once in a while we are to take time to ourselves in the spirit, to search our hearts to know if we have erred from the dictates of the Holy Spirit; for, we believe that everything we do or say to others are acceptable to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior because he already died and rose again to pay for all our iniquities: therefore, we are free to walk in ungodliness; however, he redeemed us from all sins, so we go and sin no more but love one another as ourselves; if we mistreat or condemn others, we sin and the truth is not in us; if we are redeemed of the Lord and walk in faith through his righteousness, then our relationships with others ought to signify who we are in him.

Case in point, in the above text, Prophet Jeremiah stood in gate of the LORD's house, and spoke these words to Judah; however, humanity is the same, what he is saying to us today is, we dressed up on worship days to go to our various churches to worship the LORD of hosts; but collectively, we are the congregation which made up the temple of the LORD; therefore,  (i)  if we throughly amend our ways and our doings; that is, if we search our hearts to see where we have erred and change from our wrong doings into right doings and walk in godliness we are the temple of the LORD regardless of where we reside;  (ii)  if we throughly execute judgment between a man and a neighbor; that is, we ought to be fair in dealing with others and how we form opinions or make decisions on matters pertaining to other people.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

Points to ponder, to inherit blessings of the LORD, and eternity; (a) If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow; today, we walk in faith through the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and our minds are set to love our neighbors as ourselves; however, let us also double check ourselves to see if we need to do some improvements in the way we treat others who are lonely, or different from us, or are homeless, poor and needy; and especially during the holiday season, let us remember these people and reach out and love them as well as we love ourselves;  (b) and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt; we cannot physically kill anyone without facing the law of the land; but, when we slander, gossip, backbite and condemn those who we do not like or have wrong us with words and actions, we are killers and walk in ungodliness; therefore, let us have forgiven spirits towards one another and embrace ourselves as brothers and sisters in the body of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; though we do not deserve his kindness, he suffered, died and rose again to redeem our souls into life everlasting.

Fruits of thought,  our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's promises to believers today is unfailing Love; if we listen and obey his words to love the LORD our God with all our hearts, and with all our souls, and with all our minds, the first and great commandment; and the second, is like the same; to love our neighbors as ourselves:  *Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. "Hallelujah! we will inherit life everlasting by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  Praises be to his Holy Name this day and forevermore."

CONCLUSION:

Brethren, the word of the LORD, is fulfilling, our faiths are strengthened by reading and hearing of his words everyday; let us thank the Lord for giving us his words to read, and for hearing his words from his chosen vessels; for his words is the light on our paths of righteousness; when we stumble and fall along our ways, reading, hearing and praying of his words will lightens our ways out of all setbacks; if we are redeemed of the Lord, but refuse to acknowledge events of his life recorded in the scriptures from Genesis through revelation, then we will miss all details surrounding his life; for he is the word given to humanity to guide, reprove, rebuke, to influence us to walk in godliness through his righteousness into life everlasting.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Revelation 3:19  As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten:  be zealous therefore, and repent.
