DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  DANIEL 6:20-22

(20)  And when he came to the den,  he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel:  and the king spake and said to Daniel,  O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?
(21)  Then said Daniel unto the king,  O king, live for ever
(22)  My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee,  O king,  have I done no hurt.

UNSHAKABLE FAITH

Brethren,  in this context, we learn that believers should have unshakable faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, no matter what negative situations may arise against us, whether we live or die through these given situations, Jesus will never forsake us but will prove us here on planet earth or eternity;  therefore, no mater what happens to us on this planet earth;  as believers,  let us trust in him with all our hearts, souls and bodies and be loyal to him in the faith through his righteousness forever.

In the past generations, when a King decrees a decree, no one can go against that decree or they lose their lives;  in Daniel's case, his enemies wanted to trap him because they hated him for his achievements, so they schemed to have King Da-ri-us signed a thirty days decree that no one should petition to the LORD or to any man besides King Da-ri-us himself;  but, Daniel, went into his house and prayed and gave thanks to the LORD, three times a day;  however, his persecutors watched his movements after the decree was signed to see what he will do and when they found out that he was still praying to the LORD, they presented an allegation to have him arrested and prosecuted for wrong doings.

Faith in action; (i)  Daniel was thrown into the den of lions, because he did not change his minds about worshiping the LORD, he knew that he who set him above is a Living God and will deliver him;  (ii)  he was also not afraid of losing his life in the den of lions, for, he knew that the LORD will never fail him and if he loses his life trusting in him, the LORD will quicken him back to life again;  (iii)  when a stone was brought up, to be laid upon the mouth of the den of lions, Daniel, was still not afraid of the lions, but trusted in the LORD, to deliver him;  sure enough, the LORD was faithful, his angels shout up the lions mouth and they could not devour him;  faith works! therefore, let us trust in the LORD with all our hearts, soul and bodies, and through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who lives and reigns forever.

Case in point;  when King Da-ri-us went back to his palace that night, he tossed and fasted all night;  why?  because of his conscience,  for, his mind was troubled by his wrong doings toward Daniel the servant of the Most High God;  therefore, in the morning he quickly went to the den and cried with a lamentable voice to Daniel, who replied, O King live forever;  what?  yes, Daniel was not upset with the King;  because he trusted in the LORD and he delivered him out of the mouth of the lions;  so there is no reason to hold any grudge against the King;  what a lesson to be learned from his actions of forgiveness, he forgave King Da-ri-us for all his wrong doings and respected him still;  for the LORD vindicated him before all men;  and he will do it again for you and me, we just have to trust in him.

Fruits of thought,  Daniel trusted in the LORD, and on his behalf, the LORD, sent his angels to shut the lions mouth, and they did not hurt him;  because, he was not guilty of any wrong doings before the LORD, he was just worshiping him, and have not caused any pain or harm to King Da-ri-us; therefore, let us also exercise our faith on a higher level and in the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  in times of trouble, he will never forsake us, but will deliver us, and we will glorify his Holy Name forever.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren,  do we believe in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, that he can do all things both in heaven and on planet earth?   if we believe in him today,  let us accelerate our beliefs to the next level and trust him with everything that is he has given to us;  though we may not be aware of his presence with us,t he is with us at all times, waiting for us to accelerate our faith to the next level in all situations, to receive his grace, peace, love and life everlasting,  Amen and Amen!
