(KJV.) ST. LUKE 22:48
(48) But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man, with a kiss?
WITH A KISS?
Grace be unto you! As a believer in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, there is no weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. ... Isaiah 54:17; therefore, come what may, fear not, neither be dismayed, stand firmly with faith, in his righteousness; trust in him!
Even in our trials, there are intended purposes of Jesus, to turn sorrowful situations into joy, and praises; he uses the same sufferings to accomplish his will for our lives if we fail not; therefore, in everything, give thanks, it is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.cf 1 Thes. 5:18: on the night when Jesus was arrested for trials, Judas Iscariot, came to the garden of Gethsemane where he prayed with three of his disciples, betrayed him with a kiss to the soldiers, cf. Matthew 26:36-50; a kiss is a touch of love, a sign language between two lips, connecting heart to heart, emotionally; however, in this case, what was the motive of Judas behind his kissing Jesus? was it done out of love, hatred, covetousness, greedy, neediness or meant to betray a friend? could be or none of the above, but rather the kiss was a weapon of warfare against Jesus, came from the lips of the devil, utilized Judas lips, touched the cheeks of Jesus; a signal of I love you, but, .... remember, Judas was paid thirty pieces of silver to betrayed Jesus, cf. Matthew 26:15; he could have pointed him out to the soldiers without a kiss, but the weapon was to pierce Jesus's soul on a kiss impact; therefore, when he did it, Jesus asked Judas, betrayed thou the Son of man with a kiss? therefore, on either side of the coin, anyone can be used by the enemy for his evil works. if care is not taken to discern his dubiousness, never betray a friend with a kiss.
Beloved, the fact is, no one knows exactly what the plots and plans of the enemy is for believers, but so long as we are in Jesus, though he is crafty in his ways, Jesus does not allow his plans to prevail over our lives, we are more than victorious, conquerors in Jesus; also, this is the week to commemorate, the sufferings, crucifixion, buried and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, by divine revelation, the heavens commemorates the same events; therefore, let us get closer to the heart of Jesus this week, with sober reflections, remembering him, what he did on the cross for us; there is something available for everyone to receive, if we earnestly uphold his face with reading of his words, praises, prayers, and supplications. Let us love one another as ourselves! Jesus is coming back again soon! Peace and Love be unto you! Amen and Amen!
WORD OF WISDOM:
(KJV.) Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend: but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
