(KJV.) I TIMOTHY 2:1-2
(1) I exhort, therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
(2) For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
QUIET AND PEACEABLE!
If you ask, why pray for others? Prayer is a service to God; therefore, whenever we pray for one another indirectly, we do the will of Jesus Christ, considered as kindness, compassion, humane, rewarded for good works; not only that but also, the saying goes, as we pour water into the well of others, our wells will never run dry; for example, at the end of the assignment of Jesus Christ, when knew that his betrayal was upon him, he earnestly prayed to God, on behalf of the people, refer to the book of St. John chapter 17; therefore, it is part of our responsibilities as believers to intercede for other people, including the leaders of faith establishments for wisdom and strength to Shepherd the flocks of Jesus Christ in his righteousness; the governing authorities to set aside differences to make wise decisions for the people of their lands; the trouble makers of this world to lay down weapons of warfare, cease from striving against one another, rather love one another as themselves, for peace to reign supreme on earth as Jesus declared it, cf. John 14:27; giving thanks through him for answered prayers.
Beloved, we were made to associate with others, we cannot create our own sub-world, live in a bubble shell, act unconcern about the issues of this world; let us rise up and pray for the peace of this world; you and I both, are the parts and pieces of the solution to fix the gigantic life puzzle, whatever we cannot do for ourselves physically, through prayers, together we can attain the help needed from Jesus Christ to accomplish on earth, directly or indirectly impact upon others, what does not concern us today, as we are still among the living, might surface tomorrow, as issues upon our plates to solve; therefore, let us love, intercede, serve, care for one another, knowing that Jesus will come back again soon, be prepared to meet him! Peace be unto you! Amen and Amen!
