DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  LUKE 12:18-20

(18)  And he said,  This will I do:  I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
(19)  And I will say to my soul,  Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years;  take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
(20)  But God said unto him,  Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee:  then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

COME WITH ME!

Brethren, many times humanity has fallen out of the will of our Father, because we build our world around material possessions, we worry about what to do to survive or get ahead of others in this fallen world; as a result, we set our own agendas and goals, focus on what we ought to achieve in this life, work tirelessly to try to accomplish those goals;  setting goals for ourselves is a right thing to do, however, let us think things through wisely, pray, seek the face of our Father to know, if our plans are in his will, before we endeavor to focus on them;  for our days and years are numbered, and we really do not know when our souls are required of our Father and we fly away to eternity.

As humanity, we worry ourselves, about earthly possessions, what we ought to have, but have not; and have anxieties, spirit of strives, enviness, jealousies and compete with other people to achieve worldly possessions that are detrimental to our souls, and cannot be brought into eternity, but will perish with the wind, may cause chaos between our family circles after we sleep in death:  in this chapter, Jesus told a parable of the rich fool to one of his followers, who asked him to counsel his brother to divide an inheritance with him:  however, Jesus did not judge between them, but rather, advised him through a parable, the above text was taken out of that parable;  rather, Jesus asked him a question saying, "Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? (Luke 12:14);  he did not place himself between a striving family to judge issues but answered him with a another question, to make him think of his actions;  therefore, let us not prejudge others, why they do what they do, if we have any concerns regarding other people personal issues;  let us pray for them, minister words of wisdom into their hearts, to enlighten their ways from wrongful deeds, to walk in the righteousness of our Father, leave all matters in the hands of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, who knows what to do in his own jurisdiction; per chance, we ourselves are guilty of one thing or the other secretly; and if we condemn others, we condemn ourselves as well;  for there is none righteous, no not one. (Roman 3:10).

Case in point, Jesus told this parable to his follower, for him to know that, material possessions in this world are vanity and vexation of spirits; and regardless of what we acquire or how successful we are in this world; there is a supreme being, our maker and owner of our souls, he is in control or our lives, we are not of our own selves, he watches over our souls, hears our utterances, knows how many years we have on earth, before we were born;  if we seek his face in all matters of this life, he takes control of our day to day activities, manifests his glories in our lives, at the end of our journeys on earth, we have causes to rejoice in his bosom forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dear beloved, the point today is, if we have received blessings of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; let us endeavor to share our blessings with other people and not be boastful with what we have achieved by grace;  for, no one knows exactly when our years will be over on earth to store anything for tomorrow;  rather, if we do goodwill in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, share our blessings with others, our good deeds are not done in vain, but we receive more favors, earthly and eternal blessings forever and evermore:  therefore, I pray that year 2016, will bring good tidings from the throne of grace, blessings will follow in the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  Be blessed!  Amen and Amen!,

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Proverbs 27:1:  Boast not thyself of to morrow;  for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
