DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  1 JOHN 2::15-17

(15)  Love not the world,  neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world,  the love of the Father is not in him.
(16)  For all that is in the world,  the lust of the flesh,  and the lust of eyes,  and the pride of life,  is not of the Father, but is of the world.
(17)  And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:  but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

WHAT IS THIS WORLD?

Brethren, this world is a world full of darkness, for, there are so many distractions of evil against the righteousness of our Father; and it is very difficult to focus on living godly lives; however, let us not lose hope in our Father, that he can change things around for good, in his own jurisdiction; or allow earthly desires to blindfold our spiritual eyes to love the world and things of this world than salvation and eternity.

As believers, though we live in this fallen world, we do not belong in darkness of this world, we are children of the light called out of darkness into marvelous lights of our Father;  therefore, let us not act like lukewarm children, who waver in faith, undecided on what we really want to do with our lives; but rather focus our faith entirely on our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; and not allow infiltration spirits to guide our minds, to participate in what children of darkness do; therefore, we cannot be indecisive when it comes to our salvation and things of our Father;  for, it is written in the book of Matthew 6:24, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will hold to the one and despise the other Ye cannot serve God and mammon."; therefore, if we have chosen the rightful pathways of salvation, let us be spiritually inclined to hold fast that which we believe, turn away from following dictates of our fleshly desires;  for, it is written in the book of Galatians 5:17, "For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would."; if we walk by the Spirit, we will overcome all temptations of the enemy of our souls, and be guiltless of any offenses, for there is now no condemnations to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (Romans 8:1);  in this world, our flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh at all times; let us be watchful not fall preys to temptations of the enemy of our souls in Jesus Name.  Amen!

There are three things in this world, that hinders believers from focusing on eternal lives, and those things are; (i)  the lust of the flesh;  when we have a very strong desires to fulfill joy or pleasurable moments; including intimate desires, things that we focus our hearts on, to endeavor or possess at all cost, in other to satisfy desires of our souls are lusts of the flesh:  at times, such desires, lead us into ungodly decisions that we may regret later on in life; let us carefully ponder on things before we do them; when the Holy Spirit counsels believers, his voice is not forceful but speaks calmly into our souls; on the other hand, if we hear forceful voices to embark on fleshly desires; it is time to ponder on what we hear, be in spirit, pray about things before we take actions;  for, it could be the enemy infiltrating our minds, to lead us into his temptations;  therefore, let us be careful of his devises;  (ii) and lust of the eyes;  this type of lust is what believers need to rebuke at all times; when we walk out of our comfort zones into the world of darkness everyday, we cannot foresee what will happen in the world before the days are over, or what our physical eyes will observe negatively or positively; even in places of our abode, the enemy had taken control of the news media, we hear negative news of uproars, wars and disasters all over the world, there are no decency movies, without sexual scenes, nudity and killings, or conforming to basic moral standards, showing integrity or other characteristics associated with moral uprightness; everything around us instigates our innermost spirits to do the same; but we cannot do what the world does, because we are not of this world, but are children of light who belongs to Almighty Father, and joint heirs to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  (iii)  and pride of life:  that of which we live our lives in arrogance, boastful of what we think we have acquired or achieved by our own self efforts, and as a result we demean others, make them feel unworthy; these attributes are not of our Father, but are of the enemy of our souls;  therefore, let us watch out for our souls, mind the things of our Father, for the world will pass away with its evil contents, if we do the will of our Father, obey his words, we will be blessed with covenanted blessings and live with him for evermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, we are to love one another as our selves; but we are not to love the world or the things of the world; if we love the world and its contents, someday, when we sleep in death, we will leave the world and everything we have acquired behind; for all those things will not matter to our transitions into eternity; therefore, let us not focus too much on things of this world, but rather, love our Father with all our minds, souls and bodies, his Son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and its righteousness and all things shall be added unto us;  for things of this world are vanities that troubles our spirits to follow after them and lose our salvation; for it is written in book of Mark 8:36, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his souls?  Or what shall a man give in exchange for his souls?;  therefore, as believers, let us not worry to much about things of this world; but focus on Jesus Christ; for covenanted blessings are already given by our Father, but yet to manifest by the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; therefore, let us focus on doing his will, have covenanted blessings, joy, peace and everlasting life. Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Romans 12:2;  And be not conformed to this world:  but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,  that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
