DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  MATTHEW 18:15-17

(15)  Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee,  go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone:  if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
(16)  But if he will not hear thee,  then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.
(17)  And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church,  let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

HEART TO HEART

Brethren, as we dwell together on planet earth;  let us try as much as possible to live peaceably with all men, so that we walk in the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and someday, be partakers of life everlasting.

Case in point, as believers, whenever we feel offended by others and are angry;  (i)  let us not hold grudges against one another, but discuss issues that brought on the offenses, iron out differences, so that roots of bitterness does not spring up to trouble our innermost spirits, grieve the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit and contaminate our souls; for it is written in the book of Ephesians 4:26-27; "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil."; therefore, getting angry about issues is not sinful, but when we hang on to reasons why we became angry, keep grudges and malice against our fellow brethren, we become sinful;  therefore, we need to let go of offenses, and forgive our offenders, pray and let Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior take control of our hearts;  (ii)  as we dwell together on earth, there will be moments of disagreement with one another; either we offend other people or other people may offend us;  it is normal!;  however, when we feel offended by other people, let us not conceal our negative emotions, and pretend like all is well, when actually we harbor animosity and grudges, as children of a forgiving Father, let us rather forgive, quickly iron things out with our offenders, avoid bitterness, resentments and hatreds, which troubles our peace of minds, not only that, but negative issues of our hearts, can infect other people negatively; if we have bitterness within our spirits, our utterances, actions and behaviors will affect society, friends, family, co-workers and other believers the same way;  for it is written in the book of Matthew 6:14; "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.";  therefore, let us forgive our offenders and forget their offenses.

Brethren, as we dwell together on this earth, there are moments when we will disagree with one another, when that happens,  let us not feel offended, misunderstand one another's point of view, hold grudges and malice against one another;  if we feel that our emotions have been violated by other people, it is godly on our parts to approach those individuals on one on one basis, tell them how we feel about what might have happened and make peace with one another;  sometimes, our offenders are not aware that there are offenses, when we bring out issues to the table and discuss all matters into detail what we claim to have transpired;  many times, offenders will offer apologies and all will be well again;  however, at times, when we take initiatives to make peace with offenders, things can go wrong and we find ourselves, getting more upset about issues than before,  this is not normal, it is the work of the enemy;  let us not allow him to infiltrate our minds and rule our hearts, to cause divisions among brethren; however, before we iron out issues of our hearts, let us pray, invite the presence of Jesus Christ into all issues, especially negative issues, so the Holy can take control of our thought processes and utterances, that we may speak with wisdom, be sincere about what happened, without deviating from what actually might have transpired or speak in vexation of spirits but allow peace to reign supreme in our hearts forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, let us think about how Jesus loved the world, that he gave himself to be a sacrificial lamb to be crucified on the cross, to shed his blood, to pay for all our past, present and future sins, and resurrected from death to grant us victory over the enemy; and emulate his character, show the same kindness to our offenders and forgive and forget their offenses; if we try our best to make one on one peace, but are not able to resolve matters, let us invite other people to be witnesses so that our words may be cause effective, that we did our best to resolve matters;  if our offenders refuse to make peace, regardless of how many times we try to get others involved, the only choices we have, is to pray for them, and leave the rest into the hands of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.  when we hang on to offenses, darkness reigns supreme in our hearts, and what happens to the light which was supposed to shine from within our innermost spirits?  this is the point to ponder on!  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Colossians 3:13;  For bearing one another, and forgiving one another,  if any man have a quarrel against any:  even as Christ forgave you,  so also do ye.
