DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ST LUKE 22:67-70

(67)  Art thou the Christ?  tell us.  And he said unto them,  If I tell you, ye will not believe:
(68)  And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.
(69)  Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
(70)  Then said they all,  Art thou then the Son of God?  And he said unto them,  Ye say that I am.

ART THOU THE CHRIST?

(67)  Art thou the Christ?  tell us.  And he said unto them,  If I tell you, ye will not believe:  Brethren, though there were several events surrounding the birth and death of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, his mission on earth was spoken of by Old Testament prophets and was fulfilled in the New Testaments books: we all know that Jesus was part of our Father, born in the flesh, walked among humanity, to introduce the Kingdom of Heaven unto planet earth, and during his ministry, he healed many afflictions and performed miracles; at the end of his ministry on earth, he went through trails, sufferings, died, paid for all our iniquities, and fulfill the scriptures, (Matthew 26:54);  however, skeptics with doubtful minds, did not know who he was;  (i)  Isaiah prophesied;  saying, "the Lord himself shall give a sign, a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14); (ii)  An angel announced his birth, that "Behold a virgin shall be with a child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted as God with us, (Matthew 1:23); (iii)  An angel appeared to shepherds on the field to announce his birth, (Luke 2:8-20); (iv)  the star led the wise men from the East to Jerusalem looking for his birthplace to worship him. (Matthew 2:2);  (v)  John the Baptist also witnessed about him, (John 1:6-12);  though, he fed the multitudes with five loaves of bread and two fishes, (Matthew 14:19);  at the end of his ministry when trails came upon him, the elders of the people, chief priests, scribes came together, led him into their council and question him if he is the Christ; but Jesus, knowing what he had to go through regardless of their interrogations, felt reluctant to answer their questions, but answered them back, saying;  If I tell you, ye will not believe.  as believers, let us not try to prove our authenticity as sons and daughters and joint heirs with Jesus Christ to others, if Christ is with us, who can be against us?

(68)  And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.  Brethren, Jesus knew what he had to go through to fulfilled the scriptures, that whether he answers questions to prove himself as son of our Father or not;  (i)  he will have to still suffer, die and rose again from the death to pay for our iniquities;  for, he already drank contents of the cup from our Father to prepare him for the task ahead;  there is nothing Jesus can do to back out of the deal with our Father to fulfill his task, so he refused to dwell on questions about himself, and what he cannot fix, but focused on what matters most, to save humanity from bondage of sins;  he said to them, "if I also ask you questions, you will not answer me, or let me go,"; because he knew his fate that he will have to go through the ordeal regardless of the outcome of his trails;  at times, (ii)  when we receive revelations from the spirits about things that will manifest in our lives; good or bad, it is not all things that can be rebuked with prayers, sometimes when we try to rebuke them, it is only for a session and we have to go through them; for they were designed to bring us into next levels of our destinations on planet earth, and cannot be taken away completely unless we go through them, to elevate ourselves into our Father's own purposes for our lives;  therefore, some visions and dreams will have to manifest regardless, whether good or bad; as believers, we have to prepare ourselves with prayers, exercise faith and perseverance through trails;  though troubles may come our ways our Father knows about them, and prepares a way out for his glorification forever.

(69)  Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.  in the above context, Jesus, foretold what he knew about the events that was unfolding before the elders, chief priest and the scribes; he knew the end results of his trails and have already submitted to the will of our Father; therefore, he went through all his trails, suffered, died and rose again from the dead to pay for the price for all our iniquities; he ascended into heavenly places, and received reward from our Father, authority to rule the entire universe, both heaven and earth; and currently, sitting on his right hand as an advocate for humanity and will come back again, to judge the whole world; are we ready?

(70)  Then said they all,  Art thou then the Son of God?  And he said unto them,  Ye say that I am.  Brethren, Jesus is now playing the mind tricks with them;  he already explained himself to them
with wisdom, however, they really wanted him to use his own mouth to convict himself, by declaring himself as the son of our heavenly Father, so that they can use his declaration as an allegation to crucify him; but intelligently, Jesus answered them with their own words; saying, "Ye say that I am!"; they held on to his answer and accused him that he claimed to be the son of our Father, proceeded to judge and crucify him;  as believers, walking in the righteousness of our Father, let us be careful of what we say or do to one another;  (i)  there are wolves in sheep clothing all over planet earth, ready to devour believers;  (ii)  there are demonic spirits all around us waiting to take our negative utterances and put them into actions against our souls but Jesus is always with his people, there is nothing to fear or worry about with him on our sides;  (iii)  there is salvation, grace, hope and life everlasting in him.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved,  as we are in the lent period, let us remember what Jesus did for us on the cross of Calvary; thank him for his grace, have hope in him; pray for more anointing to flow from his spirits to strengthen us in the faith of his righteousness forever and evermore.  Amen and amen!
