DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  MATTHEW 4:8-11

(8)  Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
(9)  And saith unto him,  All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
(10) Then saith Jesus unto him,  Get thee hence,  Satan:  for it is written,  Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
(11)  Then the devil leaveth him, and,  behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

BEWARE OF THE ADVERSARY!

Brethren, as believers, we ought to be in spirit at all times and watch out for our enemy the devil: before Jesus Christ came to planet earth, suffered, died and rose again from the dead and ascended to heavenly places; the enemy had authority over the earth after falling with his demonic angels from heavenly places, when Jesus Christ redeemed our souls from his bondage,  he also took the kingdom of this earth back from the adversary but the struggle over souls still continued between the adversary and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  therefore, it is up to us to watch out for the adversary and his devises and resist his lies and deceitfulness when he brings them to tempt us to fall from grace to grass forever.

Case in point, the text above was the third time the adversary tried to lure Jesus Christ to fall into sin;  (i)  the first time he asked him to command stones into bread to prove that he had power to sustain human lives; but he resisted him with the scriptures, it is written, "that man does not live by bread alone but by the word of God which is by reading of the scriptures daily; Satan defeated!(ii)  the second time again, the adversary challenged his powers to do miracles as the Son of God, by asking him to cast himself down from the pinnacle of the temple quoting the scriptures that angels have been given orders that if he should trip and fall to save him from fallen down and from physical injuries; Jesus, said unto him ,it is written again,"Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God," Satan defeated again!  (iii)  the third time, the adversary took him to the higher mountain, the view to see the whole world and its glory; and said to Jesus, "all these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me";  that's an abomination!  Jesus, said unto him, Get thee hence! Satan: for it is written,  "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve;" this time around, Satanic influences were defeated by Jesus forevermore! he rebuked the adversary and he left Jesus alone and angels came and ministered unto him; to God be all the glory forevermore.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION

Fruits of thoughts, beware of the devil!  when Jesus Christ was baptized by John the Baptist in the river Jordan, after, a voice came from heaven saying "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. (Matt.3:17); the adversary, heard the voice of the Father authenticating Jesus Christ as his beloved Son; why will the same adversary turned around again to tempt Jesus three times about his authenticity as Son of God?  why did the adversary not tempt Jesus right away after he was baptized from river Jordan but waited until Jesus was weaken physically from fasting for forty days and nights; because, he knew that in his weaken state, he will be able to use his schemes to gain access into his spirit to destroy him but his schemes failed to materialized three times, though Jesus was weaken in the flesh, he was strengthen in the spirit by his fasting and prayers; finally he left Jesus alone after he was rebuked by him;  (a)  the first temptation of Jesus Christ was to see if he has power to sustain lives; for, the adversary knew that Jesus was fasting for forty days and nights and was hungry, he tempted him with food sustenance; therefore, let us beware of the devil when we fast and pray, for he gets closer than before to hear what we pray about and will use any of his devises to interrupt our prayers;  (b)  the second temptation was the devil wanted Jesus to show evidence of his powers that he was the Son of God by casting himself down from mountain top of the temple to see if he had acquired any powers to perform miracles from his fasting and prayers for forty days and nights; let us beware of those who will deliberately asked questions, assign projects or request for prayers with motives to test our spiritual standings with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  (c)  the third temptation was to test if Jesus would exchange his birthright as Son of God for the glory of this world; if Jesus would have bowed down and worship the adversary, he would have sold his Lordship and Son ship unto the devil;  let us beware of enemy devises; for the kingdom of heaven and earth belongs to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, the adversary lost everything when he rebelled against the LORD of hosts but he has not given up doing evil by tempting and luring humanity to hell's damnation.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren, if the adversary can tempt our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after he had fasted forty days and nights in the wilderness, let us beware that though our sins are presently forgiven by cleansing of the blood of Jesus, the adversary is still working and at all times to tempt humanity into hell's damnation, when the Holy Spirit convicts us of any wrong doings, let us humble ourselves still and ask for mercies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to uplift our souls back into his righteousness to continue in the faith, also the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to open up our spiritual eyes and understandings with spirits of discernment to resist all temptations of the adversary by his Holy Name forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Ephesians 6:10-11  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might...Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
