DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  MARK 5:30-34

(30)  And  Jesus,  immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said,  Who touched my clothes?
(31)  And his disciples said unto him,  Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou,  Who touched me?
(32)  And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.
(33)  But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.
(34)  And he said unto her,  Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;  go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

FAITH IN ACTION

Brethren,  when we exercise our faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, no matter what issues bewails our lives today, we will definitely overcome them all by his death on the Cross of Calvary; for all our negative issues was done away with on the cross on that faithful day when said "it is finished!"

Case in point, in the above context,  when Jesus was with his disciples among the crowd on that day; though the crowd pressed sore at him to see him, hear his teachings and seek deliverance, there were many with various afflictions pressing on him, but he did not feel any power virtues come out of his spirit, because no afflicted soul among the crowd exercise faith enough to know that by pressing on him alone, they will receive deliverance and healing;  they followed him with the hope that he will see their afflictions and pronounce deliverance upon their lives;  there was also a woman among the crowd with a flow of blood for twelve years;  who had sought healing from physicians but had not been successful in receiving any healing, but daily her sickness of issue of blood kept on getting worse;  when she heard about the miracles of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  she pressed on among the crowd behind him and touch his garment;  because, she believed that by touching his garment only, she might be healed from her infirmity and she was healed instantly;  for her faith made her whole.

WORDS OF INSPIRATION:

Faith in action;  when she believed and touched the garment of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, immediately, she received healing, the blood flow stopped and she knew right away that she was healed of her infirmity;  however,  Jesus, on the other hand, felt in the spirit that power had gone out of him;  he turned around and questioned the crowd, his disciples disputed his question by saying that "there were crowd pressing upon you and you asked,  who touch me?" however,  (i)  Jesus knew that some power had gone out of him; though he was among pressing crowd but the disciples did not believe him that he knew what he was talking about;  have we experience manifestations of the power of the Holy Spirit that when we relate to others, they find it difficult to believe our testimonies?  (ii)  the woman on the other hand was afraid, trembling before Jesus, told him the whole truth;  but Jesus, was glad that she spoke up, for his disciples might not believe or understand his question about who touched his garment;  do we have any secrets in our hearts today that we need to tell Jesus about, so we can be free from guilt and condemnations of demonic entities?   (iii)  when the woman spoke up, Jesus, did not get angry at her for touching his garment but rather pronounce blessings of deliverance and grace upon her faith in him;  blessings to go in peace and be well of her affliction;  today, do we have any hidden testimonies of his faithfulness in our lives, that we need to share with others?  Jesus Christ will grant us more of his blessings, manifestations and salvation;  if we continue to testify to his glory forevermore?

Fruits of thought,  though we talk about how much faith we have in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; our faith in him really does not matter, if we cannot not exercise it to the fullest when troubles come our ways;  regardless of how much faith we have in him;  if the enemy comes to buffer and trails should come our ways, they come along to test our faith in Jesus and to know if we are in right standings in his righteousness;  if we are in such situations today;  let us believe and trust that no matter what our situations may be, Jesus will work them out for good, and we will win the battle at the end of our trails and tribulations;  (a)  let us not doubt who we are in him and what he can do for us during trails but persevere with forbearance knowing that our redeemer lives;  (b)  let us strengthen ourselves in the faith by reading the scriptures daily, praying and supplicating, singing songs of praises to him and keep on worshiping him in the beauty of his holiness;  (c)  though it may seem like Jesus is too far from us in our trails and cannot hear our prayers and petitions;  that is a lie from the devil!  he is not far at all but closer to us than before, working things out through our faith in his righteousness to deliver us from all afflictions, trails and tribulations and keep us blessed and happy forevermore.

CONCLUSION;

Brethren, Jesus in this context, showed his affection, mercy and sovereignty as Lord and Savior; in his affection;  he feels our sorrows, aches and pains and delivers our souls from bondage if we pray, and exercise our faith in him;  in his mercies;  he cares about our souls and feels sad for our afflictions, grievances and troubles;  in his sovereignty;  he knows we belong to his dominion and cares about what happens to our souls;  he heals our diseases, comforts our souls in our sorrows, died and rose again to grant us grace and life everlasting:  today,  it does not matter what types of afflictions we encounter in our paths of righteousness, or how many years we have had those afflictions;  let us keep pressing on through our failures and reach out to his garment of victory for healing, grace, peace and everlasting life.   Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Romans 1:17  For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:  as it is written,  The just shall live by faith.
