DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.) ACTS 2:25-28

(25)  For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:
(26) Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
(27)  Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
(28)  Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

TRUSTING THE LORD

Brethren, when we focus only on the Lord; and resist all enemy distractions and temptations in times of troubles, we will not fear what will come against us; regardless of our predicaments, we will feel happy and sing songs of joyfulness and relax ourselves in the hands of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  for he will not forsake his children while in difficult and unpleasant situations nor will he allow sufferings from dishonest and ungodly behaviors of men to bewail his children forever; but by his own revelation, we have gain experience of being alive that when in troubles, our hearts will be content with feelings of great happiness by facial expressions of approvals from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Case in point, in the above text, King David trusted the Lord in times of trails and tribulations;  (i) King Saul was still king of Israel when David was anointed to be his successor, though King Saul was not around when the oil was poured on David's head to be future king of Israel, he knew what the Lord was about to do and if he could kill David before his Kingship assignment could manifest, Jonathan will be his successor; therefore, he persecuted David for several years to kill him;  (ii) but David was a warrior, he volunteered himself to war against Goliath of the Philistines, after he killed the giant and slaughter the Philistines, the women of Israel sang a song in his name to glorify the Lord for what he had done for Israel; Alas! King Saul became envious of David and persecuted him thereafter to kill him; but David trusted in the Lord still to protect his life; ref. (I Samuel 18);  (iii) after David won the victory for Israel, King Saul saw talents and capabilities of a kingship in David, and persecuted him because he was jealous and envious of him, however, David knew that his life was in danger but trusted in the Lord who anointed him still to protect him from King Saul;  (iv) though David was persecuted for several years, throughout his trails and tribulations, he trusted in the Lord not to forsake him but to fulfill his covenant in his life;  (v)  though, David and Jonathan King Saul's son were friends in love with each other, King Saul still persecuted David to kill him to gain the throne for Jonathan his son; David went from mountains to valleys, caves and forests to escape from the eyes of King Saul who persecuted him by following him around everywhere to kill him; David trusted in the Lord still, for he knew that no one could lay hands on him to kill him, for he was the Lord's anointed and the Lord preserved him throughout all his trails and tribulations until the appointed time when the covenant was fulfilled and he became King of Israel. the Lord won the Victory over his enemy, the adversary!

WORDS OF INSPIRATIONS:

Fruits of thoughts, today, many of us are in similar situations like David; we are not certain about what persecutions our enemies bring against us, which mountains they have placed before our lives to block ways leading to our destinations; however, (a)  let us all take courage from the text above and trust in the Lord like David did and know that our redeemer lives and he is aware of all evil doings from enemy forces; for the Lord is faithful still, and will fulfill promises in our lives, and will protect our lives from all perils and dangers from our enemies in his arms of victory;  (b) though things may seem stagnant and not moving in our lives as it should, let us know for sure that the Lord is working to bring all things into fruition all to the glorification of his Holy Name; (c) though it may seem like our enemies are winning their attacks against our souls, they are not; for the Lord says it is not over yet, but "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen,  I will be exalted in the earth...The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.  Selah (Psalm 46:10-11)

CONCLUSION:

Brethren, let us be sure of ourselves and know who we are in faith through the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; if adversaries persecuted Jesus during his ministry on planet earth to destroy his life, as believers, our adversaries will not turn away from us without a fight but they will also bring on persecutions to trouble our souls;  however, Jesus had already taken back all powers of destruction of lives from our adversaries by his death and resurrection; today, we have victory in him now and forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  John 16:32  Beloved, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone:  and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.
