DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)   1 PETER 2:5-6

(5)  Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
(6)  Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture,  Behold,  I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

ROOTED, GROUNDED CORNERSTONES

Brethren, as we all know, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is the chief cornerstone of Christendom: what is this word cornerstone?;  cornerstone by dictionary definition is,  a ceremonial stone set at a corner of a building, joining two exterior walls  and often inscribe with the starting and completing dates of construction, the name of the architect, owner and other details;  the chief foundation on which something is constructed or developed:  do any of these definitions exhibit who Jesus Christ is?;  I believe so, before Jesus Christ came to the world, when man trespasses against our Father, the only way to atone for trespasses were through animal blood sacrifices, performed by priesthoods, however when Jesus Christ suffered, died, rose up again from death, ascended into heavenly places, sat on right hand of our Father, he became an advocate for humanity, which eliminated priesthood intermediaries, and by his shed blood once and for all, animal blood sacrifices for atonement of sins were eliminated forever

When Jesus gave himself as a sacrificial lamb and was slaughtered on behave of all animals once and for all, his shed blood atoned for past, present and future trespasses of humanity; through his blood, trespasses are forgiven without animal blood sacrifices and atonements, the only requirement is to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of the world, believe in him, have salvation, free grace and life everlasting;  by his blood redemption, animal blood sacrifices were eliminated completely, when the veil tore of the tempo it allow believers to come boldly into his presence, have relationship with our Father, ask for his forgiveness themselves;  Jesus now seated on the right hand of our Father, pleads our cases before him, asks for his mercies on our behalves, when we go against his words;  therefore, the sufferings of Jesus Christ, death on the cross, burial, resurrection, ascension are events which bridged the gape between humanity and our Father, and amend broken relationships implemented through disobedience of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, but amended by Jesus Christ through his blood sacrifice to offer salvation, free grace and life everlasting to all those who will accept him as Lord and Savior.

Therefore, believers, are energetic stones, structured in congregations all over the world, as holy men and women of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, to dedicate themselves as useful vessels, serve our Father in his righteousness, continue to build up his establishment on earth with truthfulness of his words;  Jesus Christ is the chief corner stone, the foundation of the apostles and prophets; in whom churches are suitably constructed stand firmly together as an establishment of holiness within Jesus Christ, in whom believers assemble as a congregation from various parts of the world, worship in the presence of our Father through the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit;  therefore, if we believe in him, we are rooted and grounded cornerstones forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; to show forth the praises of him who called us out of darkness into his marvellous light;  before we not
his chosen people, but now we are people of our Father, before we did not have his mercies when we trespass against him, but now we have his mercies through the sufferings, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forevermore:  if we have not yet given ourselves over to him, let us endeavor to do so, before it is too late and we sleep in damnation.  Amen and Amen!
