DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  MARK 2:15-17

(15)  And it came to pass,  that,  as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples:  for there were many, and they followed him.
(16)  And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples,  How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners?
(17)  When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them,  They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick:  I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

SOULS SAVING PRACTITIONERS

Brethren, to walk in the righteousness of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is not easy but doable:  knowingly or unknowingly, believers are targets of reproaches:  regardless of what we do, people will find faults and criticise why certain things are done the way they are done;  this is nothing new under the Sun;  for King Solomon said,  The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. ref. (Eccle. 1:9);  whatever happened before in past generations are still happening in this twenty-first century:  therefore, as Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior faced reproaches of men during his ministry to point of trails, sufferings, death and resurrection;  if we follow him, let us be prepared to partake of his sufferings as well.

In the above text,  Jesus sat down to eat in his own house; but there is a saying that goes; "wherever there is honey, the bees gather together";  guess what?  though Jesus was in his own house, followers including haters gathered together to eat with him; but not everyone was there to actually listen and assimilate his words, there were haters there to listen and find fault with his words and whatever he does; that is persecution,  when persecutors saw him eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners, they did not say a word to him, but enquire from his disciples regarding his behavior;  though, Jesus humbled himself to sit and eat with them, they still look for ways to gossip about him; this is human nature, it is ungodly;  it is better to confront issues with parties involved to find out why people do what they do, than to criticise or side talk our concerns with others,

When Jesus heard their concerns, he replied;  "They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick:  true statement!  Why would anyone go to the doctor's office when physically well, it is only those who are sick, seek the service of a physician;  though there were haters there as well as others who were there genuinely to listen to his words and receive healings; Jesus knew that he has powers to save humanity; therefore, he did not reject anyone, but received everyone to dine with him, so he could minister kingdom words into their hearts to convert them from ungodliness into his righteousness;  therefore as believers, let us not reject unbelievers but embrace them with love, show that we care and minister kingdom words into their hearts:  Jesus finished his statement by saying;  "I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance;  in other words, Jesus came to earth to mingle with sinners and bring them into repentance, salvation and eternity; he did not come to earth because of saved souls that are ready for eternity;  Jesus was called to associate with humanity;  regardless of their national origins, race, genders or skin colors, their souls are precious in his eyes;  therefore, Jesus ate and drank with tax collectors and sinners;  as his followers, let us exemplify ourselves in him, endeavor to embrace people from all walks of life, love one another as ourselves.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, if believers are lights of this world of darkness, wherever we are, our lights will shine to unveil every aspects of our lives, negative or positive attributes;  therefore, when we receive good or bad comments from critics, let us not worry or dwell on what they say, if we are in the will of our Father, it is our Father who justifies his servants;  therefore, let us not pay attention to critics, lose hope in his righteousness, but focus entirely on our callings, endeavor to please the one who call us out of darkness into his marvellous lights, persevere with spirits of forbearances to finish lines of our destines, that we may receive eternal rewards as faithful servants forever and evermore:  today, if we have not yet received Jesus Christ into our hearts as Lord and Savior, let us endeavor to come to him so as soon as possible, it does not matter how many mistakes we made in past, Jesus cares about our souls, he will surely receive us into his bosom, grant salvation, free grace and eternal lives. Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Acts 23:9:  And there arose a great cry:  and the scribes that were of the Pharisees part arose, and strove, saying,  We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
