DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  2 CORINTHIANS 9:6-7

(6)  But this I say,  He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;  and he which soweth bountifully shall reap bountifully.
(7)  Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity:  for God loveth a cheerful giver.

WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND!

Brethren, the above text is about giving; at times, when others are in difficult situations and we are fortunate to have, we tend to hold back due to carnal mindedness;  today, Apostle Paul is saying to humanity, in an analogy, "What goes around, comes around!";  he said, (i)  Listen carefully,  If you sow frugality, you will also reap frugality; and if you sow generously, you will also reap generously: therefore, if we see and hear of our neighbors, family, friends, co-workers, homeless, the poor and needy, let us stretch forth our hands and give generously; if for some reasons we are in hardship situations ourselves and cannot do good will, that is perfectly alright; our Father knows the intents of our hearts and will bless us so we can bless other people; however, we read in Mark chapter 12; 41-44;  Jesus sat at the treasury and saw people cast money into the treasury, the rich cast more, and there came a poor widow who threw in two small coins; he called his disciples and said truly, truly, i say unto you; this poor widow threw in more than all those who threw in money before; for those who threw in money before, threw in out of the abundance that they have, but she threw in all that she had to live on;  therefore, little things that we do matters to Jesus Christ, if we hold back doing nothing because we are waiting to be blessed before we do things; the seconds, minutes and hours are not waiting for us; time is running out, let us make do with what we have now, so Jesus Christ can help us to do more for his glorification;  the poor widow went home blessed than all the givers;  friends, it is only open hands that can receive from Jesus Christ; if our hands are closed at all times, we cannot receive anything from him;  therefore, let us open up our hands, give to others who are in difficult situations and receive abundance of blessings from Jesus Christ; when we show love and give goodwill, though it may seem like we are losing earthly possessions, we are not losing anything but rather gaining more blessings of grace from our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and life everlasting.

Case in point, Apostle Paul said, (ii)  "we should all give what we have decided in our hearts to give, not unwillingly or under force, for our Father loves cheerful givers."; therefore, if we are willing to give, let us give according to what we have, and not give under pressures to please others, but to please our Father, it is not how much we give to others that matters to Jesus Christ, but our hearts and attitudes towards our givings that matters to him; remember, Jesus said in the book of Matthew 22:39, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."; therefore, giving is about love, whether we love our Father with all our hearts souls and minds, give to the benefit of his purposes on earth, or we love our neighbors and do unto them as we would like done unto us;  anything we do out of love, our Father reciprocates with multiple blessings; regardless of what we do, his hands of favors will bring more showers of blessings upon our lives;  for it is written in the book of Luke 6:38, "Give, and it shall be given unto you;  good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over; shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again." brethren, because of love, our Father gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him, should not perish but have everlasting life."(John 3:16);  therefore, let us also give out of the abundance we have received from him to help the poor, needy and those in devastating situations and be blessed forevermore.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, we do hear sermons about blessings of our Father when we do his will; however, many people will say, I gave but did not receive anything from Jesus Christ, today, the Holy Spirit is answering your questions on how blessings do manifest in the giver's life; firstly, have you counted your blessings lately?;  if not, start counting now; the air you breath into your nostrils this morning, is a blessing;  the food you ate and water you drank, are blessings; the protection and victory you had from running into another vehicle on the street, is a blessing; the layoffs that did not affect you at work, is a blessing;  the medical test results that came back negative, without any signs of illness, is a blessing;  your kids on honor rolls at school is a blessing; your higher paying jobs that does not stress your life, is a blessing;  the biggest bonus, and raise that you received recently at work, is a blessing etc...all these things that we take for granted everyday, are blessings from Jesus Christ to his children saying, "Thank you!  I appreciate what you do for me, you help when I needed help; I encourage you to continue to help me by helping others in difficult situations, I will see you very soon to take you home with me forever and evermore."  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  2 Corinthians 8:12  For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.
