DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ST JOHN 11:40-43

(40)  Jesus saith unto her,  Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
(41)  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid.  And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said,  Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.
(42)  And I knew that thou hearest me always:  but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.
(43)  And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice,  Lazarus, come forth.

JESUS, THE RESURRECTION AND LIFE

Case in point, Jesus heard that Lazarus was dead, the brother of Mary who anointed him with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair;  he said to his disciples, let us go to Judea again, where Lazarus lived and was sick, when they got there, Lazarus was already dead and buried four days; Martha said to Jesus, if you would have been here, my brother would not have died;  (40)  Jesus saith unto her,  Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?   Jesus said unto Martha, did not I tell you that if you believe, you will see the manifestation of glory of the Father?  Brethren, without faith in Jesus Christ, when we call upon him in prayers, our prayers are sounding timbrels in his ears; we cannot receive anything from who we do not believe has something to offer;  in this text, Jesus, asked Martha question of encouragement, reminded her of what he had spoken to her about, to believe in the Father to see his glory; believers of today, let us be encourage to have faith in Jesus; without faith it is impossible to please him....(Hebrew 11:6).

Points to ponder,  (41)  Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said,  Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.  Brethren, they took away the stone from the tomb that Lazarus body laid dead for four day;  Jesus looking up prayed saying,  Father, thank you for hearing my prayers;  faith in action,  Firstly, Jesus did not pray yet, but thanked the Father for hearing his prayers;  this action is perfect example of his trust in the Father that he will not fail him on what he is about to do; believers let us trust in Jesus with all our hearts, souls and bodies;  (i)  we have to be aware that the Father hears all utterances at all times; therefore, let us be mindful of our utterances, the same Holy Spirit that Christ performed miracles with on planet earth indwells our innermost spirits; therefore, let us be mindful of what we utter into our lives and lives of others everyday;  (ii)  the Father knows what is in our hearts, what bewails us, ready to intervene in all situations; if only we will pray to him in faith, believe that we receive, it will done unto us forevermore.  Jesus prayed, saying;  (42)  And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. Brethren, Jesus knew that the Father can do all things,  regardless, (a)  he prayed in front of the people, so that they may know and believe that the Father sent him,  (b)  that they may know that the Father hears utterances at all times, answers prayers by faith in him;  (c)  he raised up Lazarus from the death, that the people will know that there is hope for eternity, when trumpets will sound in heavenly places, though they sleep in death, they will resurrect from their graveyards to eternity. (John 11:25).

Fruits of thoughts,  (43)  And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice,  Lazarus, come forth.  After Jesus spoke in front of the people, he called out into the tomb loudly;  Lazarus, come out!  Lazarus came out of the tomb with his whole body wrapped up in strips of linen;  Jesus said unto them, "take off the grave clothes and let him go." (John 11:44):  Hallelujah!  the glory of the Father manifested, the greatest miracle of all miracles, giving life back to the dead:  Jesus is still performing miracles on earth today, through his followers, by the resurrection powers of the Holy Spirit, as he promised to his disciples, fulfilled on day of Pentecost, (Acts Chapter. 2). What man of man is Jesus, that even the dead for four days obeyed his voice?  Jesus is indeed the Son of the Father of all creation;  part of the Father's pureness of Spirits, manifested in flesh;  walked among humanity to experience life on earth;  to introduce Kingdom of heaven on earth;  ministered words of the Father into hearts of his children;  he performed miracles, signs and wonders to the Father's glory;  suffered for sins he did not commit, died, rose again from dead, ascended in heaven, seated on right hand of the Father as advocate for all who believe in him as Lord and Savior, be baptized into the faith of his righteousness, salvation and life everlasting.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, Faith works!  However, it can also be reduced as time goes on, if we backslide from the righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  therefore, let us continue in fellowship with him, by prayers, readings and hearings of his words daily, to strengthen ourselves in faith to get our prayers on proper channels to the Father through the Name of Jesus!  The redeeming Name of Jesus is alive and works forevermore;  let us call upon his Holy Name, come unto him with all our distresses, receive resurrected, spirits and newer lives in him, salvation, grace and life everlasting.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Revelation 20:6  Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
