DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  JOHN 15:5-7

(5)  I am the vine, ye are the branches:  He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:  for without me ye can do nothing.
(6)  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
(7)  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

JESUS IS THE VINE!

(5)  I am the vine, ye are the branches:  He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit:  for without me ye can do nothing.  Firstly, let us ask ourselves; What is a vine?  Webster dictionary definition; a vine is a plant that has very long stems that grows along the ground or up and around something (such as a wall of tree).  (i)  Jesus is the vine!  (ii)  we are the branches of his vineyard;  (iii)  if we dwell in him by reading, feeding our souls with his words daily;  (iv)  we have fellowship with him through his words;  (v) and are connected to him as parts of his long stems and are nourish from his words; for his words are our daily bread of life; (vi)  believers are able to bear abundance of fruits as branches of his vineyard and are not withered away because we nourish our souls daily with his words;  (vii)  for without Christ and his words, believers cannot achieve anything of the spirit for his glorification;  therefore, today, let us get connected to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior through reading of his words, in other for us to be able to bear good fruits in abundance with faith in his righteousness forever.

 (6)  If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.  Brethren, no one can testify of Christ, without knowing firstly, who he is; though we were not opportune to have seen, known or heard from Christ physically during his ministry on planet earth; Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is still ministering to humanity today through the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit;  therefore, (i)  we do not have an excuse not to know him or to abide in him;  (ii)  if we claim to know him but do not dwell or fellowship with him but distant ourselves from him;  (iii)  Christ will prune away unfruitful dead branches of his vineyard, cast them away as good for nothing, only usable to heat up fire furnaces;  (iii) believers who do not abide in him and his words will lose fellowship with him;  (v)  their stems will wither away, they will become spiritually malnutrition, lankness of anointing oil of the Holy Spirit;  (vi)  when men gather withered branches from the forests, it means they are not worthy or profitable to the forest, they already lost their connections with roots of tree trunks of their origination their worthiness and benefits are no longer effective or fruitful for the trunks; therefore, (vii)  they are gathered together with other dead branches of the forest, counted as worthless branches of perdition, thrown into the heated furnace of this world;  as believers, let us hold on strongly to our faiths in Jesus Christ, the enemy is not playing around in this world;  he is serious, deceitful, crafty, full of evil, his goal is to lure believers out of the faith in the righteousness of Christ to destroy them; therefore, let us get connected to our vine, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior everyday through prayers and reading of his words.

 (7)  If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.  Great!  Brethren, to get our hearts desires granted from throne of grace, (i)  we have to dwell in Jesus, get connected to him through prayers, reading of his words, (ii)  not only reading his words as story telling books but listen carefully to his voice as we read through his words, his words are alive and will talk back to us, as we do so; (iii)  when we read his words, let us be also doers of his words;  (iv)  let us encourage, love and care for one another as stems who belong to one vine Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, pray without ceasing, walk in faith, believe and trust in him, in his righteousness, salvation and life everlasting.

CONCLUSION:

Brethren,  what are our standings with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, the true vine today?  Are our branches secured in his words?  Are we abiding in him and his Holy Spirit resides in our hearts to bear abundance of good fruits?  Let us ponder on these things.  Jesus Christ is the bread of life and the living water; in him there is no hunger, thirst, or withered branches; all we have to do today, is to accept him into our hearts as Lord and Savior and repent from all our transgressions, receive salvation, get connected into the faith of his righteousness, enjoy grace freely and life everlasting; for without Jesus Christ we cannot do nothing!  Amen and amen.
