DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  HEBREWS 12:9-11

(9)  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us,  and we gave them reverence;  shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
(10)  For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure;  but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
(11)  Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but, grievous:  nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

WORDS OF ENCOURAGEMENT:

Brethren, when we receive corrections, either from earthly fathers or our heavenly Father,  these actions are meant for love, to correct our sinful attributes into godliness, to align our souls to god given purposes and salvation through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:  our earthly fathers, correct, humble us and we endure their disciplines;  therefore, when we are under the correction of our heavenly Father,  let us be humble, patient and persevere in the faith, not lose hope in him and backslide into our old sinful natures, but endure that at the end of our disciplines we may come forth with holiness, set aside for the master's use, and inherit everlasting life.

Brethren,  our earthly fathers criticize us harshly, with hurtful words, sometimes with various kinds of physical afflictions to bring us inline to positive behaviors;  fathers in nature have good intentions for their children, they love them passionately, and will not to allow them to be failures;  but will try to shape them into better children with good moral behaviors;  sometimes, their motives of corrections are also negative motives, they correct to strip away bad behaviors, and to shape up our lives into godliness;  however, they also chastise us to satisfy their statuses in society, to make sure that their friends and neighbors do not mock at them for our negative behaviors:  but our heavenly Father's chastisements are without other motives, only his love for humanity;  he  (a) corrects our wrong ideas and beliefs, to plant his words of wisdom into our lives;  (b) corrects our ungodly practices and behaviors, so we resist all works of flesh and yield to desires of the Holy Spirit our moderator;  (c) corrects our unusual traditions and rituals, so we love him only with all our hearts, and worship him alone with all our hearts, souls and bodies and believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, the rock of our salvation;  take note:  the Father's chastisements comes because we have not lived up to his expectations in the faith;  regardless, they come with love, and in righteousness of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to accomplish its purposes faithfully for his glorification forever.

Brethren,  there is nothing pleasant about chastisement, it brings upon our lives reproaches that we cannot endure;  however, if we endure the pains with patience, humility, and persevere in the faith, pray, and thank him through the trails, the father of salvation, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, will strengthen our lives and grant wisdom, knowledge and understanding to make us better disciples; for, the Father disciplines us with our welfare in mind, and with every trails, he fashions us into holy vessels set apart for his use, every chastisement of the Father is with peace and righteousness to make us powerful vessels to bring others along into the boat of salvation Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Brethren,  are we going through any form of chastisement today?  if we are,  let us have patience, pray and persevere in faith of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ;  for he is good!  it does not matter, how harsh our reproaches are,  let us know for sure that Jesus is aware of all our problems, he will work things out for good;  even if our trails are from enemies who meant it for evil,  today, Jesus is changing all trails into blessings and peace:  however,  let us pray, ask him to show us what specific areas of our lives, we fall short of his glories, and to live up to his expectations by his grace forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTES OF THE DAY:

(KJV.)  Job 19:25-26  For I know that my redeemer liveth,  and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:.....And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God.
