DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  PHILIPPIANS 4:8-9

(8)  Finally,  brethren,  whatsoever things are true,  whatsoever things are honest,  whatsoever things are just,  whatsoever things are pure,  whatsoever things are lovely,  whatsoever things are of good report;  if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
(9)  Those things,  which ye have both learned,  and received,  and heard,  and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

PROPER ACCOUNTABILITY

Brethren, there are certain attributes that believers ought to portray, to be outstandings individuals in this world of darkness;  Apostle Paul mention few of these attributes in the above text; saying, (i) whatsoever things are true,  as believers, let us conform to actual realities, facts about matters; be genuine, faithful and legitimate in all our undertakings, in other words, let us call a spade, a spade and nothing else; our "yes be yeses'" and "nos be nos'"; stand firmly in what we believe with faith without wavering to please humanity;  (ii)  whatsoever things are honest,  let us be truthful in all our ways, when we get caught up in negatives situations, endeavour to tell the truth no matter what the consequences maybe; it is the right thing to do; lies are of the devil; he dwells not in truth, for there is no truth in him,  whenever, circumstances arises whereby we ought to speak the truth, let us do the right thing, take charge of our thought process, emotions and be truthful;  even, if we have to suffer persecutions, reproaches, reproves, disgrace or executions;  let us stand firmly with faith in his righteousness, and inherit the kingdom of heaven;  (iii)  whatsoever things are just,  let us be instruments of fairness, uprightness and righteousness;  if we observe any injustice being done, as believers, let us not turn our backs on what we see happening, speak up our concerns peacefully and with respect for one another and leave all judgements to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, for vengeance belongs to our Father, he will repay; for it is written in the book of  Ecclesiastes 5:8:  "If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter:  for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.";  (iv)  whatsoever things are pure,  let us free ourselves from ungodliness of this fallen world, immoral behaviors, our old selves, and allow the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit to sanctify our souls with dynamos powers and be holy; for our Father did not call believers into uncleanness but into holiness, and holiness leads to godliness;  therefore, let us walk in the spirit resist temptations of the enemy of our souls, follow peace with all men and inherit life everlasting;  (v)  whatsoever things are lovely,  let us show genuine love to one another, evoke love to do all things, be happy to serve one another, give gifts out of love and not give forcefully or as traditions, but nice gifts with genuine love; for our Father so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, that whosoever believes in him, should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16);  (vi)  whatsoever things are of good report;  whatever we do, wherever we go, as believers, let us ask ourselves, if Jesus Christ should come today; would we be able to stand before him as faithful servants?;  let us ponder on these things:  make right choices in life, not join multitudes to do evil, but walk in his righteousness, do goodwill towards people in difficult situations; feed the poor, hungry, homeless, cloth their nakedness, pray, visit the sick and elderly; have mercy and our Father will also shine his lights of mercies upon our souls forevermore;  let us have good reports!;

Case in point; Jesus said, everything that we have learned from the scriptures about Holy Trinity; our Father, his Son and the Holy Spirit; let us not forget that all these things are real, not fables, and adhere to them;  regarding spiritual gifts received from the spirits, do not cover up gifts, use them to glorify his name on earth;  whatever good news we have heard from his words, proclaim abroad to all nations of the world, walk in his righteousness and our Father of peace will bless his obedient children forevermore.    

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved,  let us be good stewards and stewardesses of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior;  manage our times wisely on earth, set our priorities straight in his righteousness, know what matters most in our daily walk with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; emulate his ways, do his will, serve him, pray for one another, live peaceably with all men and be blessed forever and evermore.  Amen and Amen!
