DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  I CORINTHIANS 11:22

(22)  What?  have ye not houses to eat and to drink in?  or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not?  What shall I say to you?  shall I praise you in this?  I praise you not.

WHAT SHALL I SAY TO THESE THINGS?

Grace be unto you!

This is a controversial subject to deliberate upon in the church of Christ:  the question is, should believers consume their own food, before coming to church to partake in the Holy Communion?  Think deeply, the answer is yours to endeavor, do as your spirit directs you in his righteousness!

What is your motive for attending the worship services?  The answer is ours after thinking about it!  I believe that everyone has their own reasons why they worship God;  if heaven should come upon the earth today, into your heart purposefully to search and bring forth the innermost desires, the reasons for worshipping him,  you can imagine what will be unveiled about yourself;  the true motive of your approach to his throne of grace, not just you, but everybody else has one thing or the other, the mode why they worship to receive from him.  what is yours?

Ponder over the following;  do you worship God, for who he is, as your creator?  cf. Deut. 10:12, or for you to find a meaningful job? a perfect spouse? buy a bigger house? or fellowship for food etc.;  whatever your reason may be, your prayers are already answered when you seek first the kingdom of God, his righteousness. cf. Matthew 6:33;  therefore, in your worshipping him, know that he perceives your motives, cast your cares aside, worship him wholeheartedly, your heart desires will be given unto you.

You see!  there is a church within a church nowadays, to belong to a group within a church, one has to join a click of others or else you get left out on the things of God;  should it be so?  I do not think it should be so, if we belong to the body of Christ, with a common purposes to love brethren as ourselves, worship God our Father in peace and harmony, believing that it is Jesus Christ who was crucified, buried and resurrected to redeem believers from the bondage of sins, grant us the free grace and hereafter eternity and it is not of ourselves, then, there should be no eye services done in the house of God;  but treat one another with equal respect; for the cross of freedom has no barriers.

Beloved, million times, we have fallen short of the glory of God in churches because of the ways in which we worship him, regardless, he is still answering your prayers;  however, the holy spirit is reminding you to be careful of your behaviors when in the house of God; cf. Matthew 21:13;  if you believe that it is a place of worship, reverence God;  know that it is not a marketplace to sell anything or a banquet hall to hold cake cutting ceremonies,  nor a restaurant to wine and dine; it is a house of a sober reflection, Prophet Habakkuk wrote, cf. 2:20;  But the LORD is in the holy temple, let all the earth be silent before him. therefore, if there is a presence of God, and that of Jesus Chris our Lord and Savior in your place of worship;  going forward, reverence him in the beauty of his holiness.
