DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ROMANS 6:18

(18)  Being then made free from sin,  ye became the servants of righteousness.

SERVE IN RIGHTEOUSNESS!

Grace be unto you!

Through the spirit of life in Jesus Christ, believers are set free from the grids of the taskmaster's whip for transgressions and the penalty of condemnation; incredible, isn't? Therefore, remember that it was by the grace of his blood that set you free from the sins committed, and not because of your works.

Pause, think of this quiz with me;  if no righteous person is living on earth, that means the man is sinful still, though we are aware of the truth of what is rightful from the wrong;  therefore, how can we now escape temptations to resist sins?  It is by equipping and strengthening our inner spirits with the knowledge of the scriptures, prayers and (optional) fastings to overcome temptations.

For example, when the devil tempted Jesus Christ in the wilderness, he quoted the scriptures as his warfare device, if Jesus did not know the scriptures, the devil would have easily defeated him and the purpose of God; cf, Matthew 4:1-13;  on the addendum,  let us be careful of our ways, at times, it is the unimaginable things that we do, or fail to do in righteousness, which leads us into temptations to ungodliness.

Therefore, as we live by the grace of Jesus Christ, and the goodness and mercies of God, these favors are only to enjoy upon the earth, once we sleep in death, it is over for us to receive favors, we will  face judgement according to how we lived on the planet, what we did or fail to do, how we loved, treated and showed mercies to others, the good versus wicked works;  therefore, let us be kind, tenderhearted towards people, for Jesus is helpful to us at all times in our sinfulness, and it is the right thing for us to do, be useful to others as well.

Another instance, the man who does not drink alcoholic beverages, ought to refrain himself from going to the drinker's bar to associate with alcoholic beverage drinkers unless he can resist the temptations of taking in a sip of an alcoholic substance into his spirits;  therefore, as Christ has made us free from sins, we are now his servants of righteousness, exemplify his virtue, it is the right way to eternal life.

Beloved,  if you were in bondage, couldn't free yourself, out of anywhere, unexpectedly you were released;  what would you do for the person who freed you?  I believe you will rejoice exceedingly, then do whatever you can do for that person;  well, that person who liberated us, is Jesus; may I asked you this question if Jesus is physically standing before you at this minute, what would you do for him, for what he has done for you?  Be a servant of righteousness!  Continue ye in Love!  Jesus is coming back again soon!  Peace and Love be unto you!  Amen and Amen!  Enjoy your day!
