DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

EPHESIANS 5:15-20

(15)  See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.
(16)  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
(17)  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
(18)  And be not drunk with wine where is excess;  but be filled with the Spirit;
(19)  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heat to the Lord;
(20)  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

WORDS OF INSPIRATION:

Brethren, this is the week when we all get together at the dinner table to give thanks to the LORD, for his Goodness and Mercies that endurest forever:  it is also the time when the poor and needy cry inwardly for financial and emotional help:  let us show love and invite to dinner those who are far from home and cannot afford to travel back to be with family;  or financially unable to afford the thanksgiving dinner;  or experiencing loneliness as a result of death;  our unemployed neighbors, friends, families, coworkers, homeless, widows/widowers and the homeless:   if possible, let us buy thanksgiving dinner groceries to those who cannot afford to do so:  when we consider the poor; the LORD will bless and deliver us in time of trouble (Psalm 41:1):   brethren while we make merry, let us not drink excessively;  but be wise with the cup:    (Proverbs 23:31-32)  Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.  (32)  At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.  Let us be filled with the spirit of joy, praises and appreciation;  for our God is able bless us abundantly in the coming years if we give thanks to him always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen and Amen!

QUOTES OF THE DAY:

(Luke 14:12-14)  Then said he also to him that bade him,  When thou makest a dinner or supper,  call not thy friends, nor thy brethren, neither thy kinsmen, nor thy rich neighbours;  lest they also bid thee again, and a recompence be made thee.
(13)  But when thou makest a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:
(14)  And thou shalt be blessed;  for they cannot recompense thee:  for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just.
