ST. JOHN 3:18-21
(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. (21) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
COMMENTARY:
Brethren in the Lord, in this context Jesus, spoke of himself as the light of the world; that all men should believe in him for eternal salvation.
He is the light of this world, but men love and dwell in darkness which cover up their evil deeds for there is no light shinning among them; true believers in Christ dwell in light, and their deeds are known because they are children of the most High God.
(Matthew 5:16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Furthermore brethren, when we believe in Christ our Lord and Savior; we belong to him and are not condemned: his blood already cleansed us from all unrighteousness through his forgiveness on the Cross of Calvary.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
CONCLUSION:
Brethren in the Lord, Jesus, is the way, truth and light; he was sent into this world not to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. Therefore, let us trust and believe in him; pray to the father through him, and read his word everyday. He will surely abide with us till the end of days!

TEACH US HOW TO PRAY ...
ST. MATTHEW 6:5-8
(5) And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. (6) But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. (7) But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. (8) Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
COMMENTARY:
Brethren in the Lord, in this context our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave us the attributes of prayer.
The text is quite clear on how we ought to pray in secret, and not to make our actions known to the public.
We are to enter into our prayer closet, and pray to God; who knows the secret of every heart, and he will surely answer us openly. Also, let us not use vain repetitions in our prayers; for our father knows our heart desires before we present them to him.
CONCLUSION:

WHAT HOUSE WILL YE BUILD ME? ......
ACTS 7:49-50
(49) HEAVEN IS MY THRONE, AND EARTH IS MY FOOTSTOOL: WHAT HOUSE WILL YE BUILD ME? SAITH THE LORD: OR WHAT IS THE PLACE OF MY REST?
(50) HATH NOT MY HAND MADE ALL THESE THINGS?
COMMENTARY:
Brethren in the Lord, in this context our Lord proclaims his dominion over all his creation. As Christians, we sometimes wonder how our Lord is able to hear everyone's utterances at the same time; the above text explains why, our Lord exist within his creation, his throne is in heaven and the earth is his footstool.
Therefore, we are like ants before him, he sees, hears, and knows our movements throughout our lives; because we dwell in his presence. There is nothing on earth, or heaven that can contain him; he is the universe, he is the air that we breath into our nostrils and into our hearts.
He fashion and form us, and we live for him; whether we acknowledge him as our Lord and Savior or not, he still knows our choices in life. He knows when we (plot evil, pray to him, gossip, steal, give, cheerful, sorrowful, commit adultery or worship him); he sees every move we make throughout our lives, he never sleeps, or brinks his eyes for a moment. WHAT AN AWESOME GOD!!!
When we build a temple (church) for God; it is a place set aside to meet with other believers to worship him; his spirit lives in the congregation, but he lives in his creation, for the whole earth is full of his glory.
(Isaiah 6:3) And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
CONCLUSION:
Brethren in the Lord, our "God is an awesome God". He created us and we dwell in his presence forever, whether on earth, heaven, or hell we are in his presence; therefore, let us fear him and be righteous.
(Romans 3:10) there is no one righteous, no, not one. Therefore, when we sin, let us acknowledge our sins; there is forgiveness through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who died on cross to redeemed us of all unrighteousness, and he will save us from hell damnation.
Acknowledge him as your Lord and Savior today and ye shall be saved forevermore! Amen and Amen!

TEMPEST TOSSED .......
PROVERBS 3:5-7
(5) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. (6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (7) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
COMMENTARY:
Brethren in the Lord, in this context King Solomon encourages us to put our faith in the Lord when we go through difficult situations in life.
As believers in Christ, we will go through storms of life; these storms are designed to strengthen our faith in the Lord. When we are in a storm, let us not question the Lord, (what is going on? What have I done?) but pray for his mercy and strength to sustain us.
The scripture says, when we are in difficult situations; (loss of employment, divorce, economic downturn and death) not to think of our own solutions, but turn to the Lord for his strength and guidance; we aught to fear the Lord, pray and not make hasty decisions, but submit everything to him to take absolute control.
PSALM 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; and he shall bring it to pass.
CONCLUSION:
Brethren in the Lord, when (friend, neighbor, co-worker, or a church member) is going through a storm, let us pray and encourage; not mock or be judgmental. It is ungodly for a believer to mock and persecute someone who is already going through a storm; these kind of actions are of the demonic world and not from our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Brethren in the Lord, let us abstain from helping the forces of darkness to do their evil works.
Let us be careful, not to end up in a storm for mocking at our fellow brethren in the Lord; but have hope in Jesus, we shall overcome all storms of life. Amen and Amen!

THUS SAITH THE LORD....
ZECHARIAH 8:16-17
(16) These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbor; execute judgment of truth and peace in your gates: (17) And let none of you imagine evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith the LORD.
COMMENTARY:
Brethren, the Lord spoke through Prophet Zechariah, asking us to speak truthfully; judge one another with peace, and in truth.
When we judge, either in churches, family circles or work places; we need to exercise wisdom, patience and judge righteously regardless of our relationships with the parties. As Christians we are to judge righteously, for God is a righteous God who knows the heart of all men; he will reward us accordingly, but if we fail to judge righteously, we sin against God and are guilty of hell damnation ourselves.
(John 7:24) Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Brethren in the Lord, Christians are not to plan evil in their hearts against anyone (fellow brethren, co-worker, next door neighbor, family member) or swear falsely; for all these things are abomination to the Lord.
(Leviticus 19:11) Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.
CONCLUSION:
Brethren, if we should judge, let us be truthful in our judgement to one another; also live peaceable with all men to which we shall inherit eternal life with Christ Jesus.
(John 3:16) For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son (Jesus Christ) that whosoever believed in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Let us put away spirit of envy, jealousy, malice and strife; but love one another as Christ love us and died for our sins. Amen and Amen!

WOE, WOE, WOE....
ISAIAH 5:20-23
(20) Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter. (21) Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! (22) Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: (23) Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
COMMENTARY:
Brethren in Christ, the word of the Lord spoken by Isaiah warns us to be righteous in judging one another.
We judge ourselves in a negative way because of personal reasons such as (jealousy, envy, malice, covetousness and strife); when we indulge in any of these attributes, we are of the devil looking for downfall of another.
We cover up evil deeds in the churches (fornication, adultery, gossip, malaise, persecution, covetousness, warfare and embezzlement) to gain status and favors not deserve; we fail to expose or rebuke evil doers in our midst for fear of persecutions, from the governing board. We also label the righteous with negative attributes because they chose to expose evil doers. The scripture says woe unto anyone who calls evil good and good evil.
(Luke 6:45) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
CONCLUSION:
Brethren in Christ, let us be righteous in our judgement to one another and shun evil for the Lord of Host, the judge of all is looking and we will be judged according to our actions.
(2 Chronicles 19:7) Wherefore now let the fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the Lord our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts.
Also, we need to be careful about accepting gifts; the enemy uses gifts to derail our righteousness, for we cannot reprove anyone who gave us gifts.
(Proverbs 19:6) Many will intreat the favor of the prince: and every man is a friend to him that giveth gifts. Jesus the judge of all is coming back soon to judge the world. Judge righteously!

LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE .......
LUKE 8:16-17
(16) No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light. (17) For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.
COMMENTARY:
Brethren in the Lord, in this context Jesus stressed the need for Christians to be productive with their talents in the churches; by doing so, others will see their good works and glorify the father in heaven.
The Lord gave all his children various talents to implement in life; either in the churches or secular world. When we fail to use our talents, the Spirit in us is grieved and our lights are deemed; we also hinder the Spirit from doing the will of the father who gave the talent.
(I Corinthians 12:4-7) Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. (5) And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. (6) And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. (7) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
CONCLUSION:
Brethren in the Lord, there is nothing secret that shall not be known abroad for the Holy Spirit reveals hidden secrets; therefore let us not hide our gifts, but utilize them to serve (one another, the churches or at work) through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
