(28) Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
(29) For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, and sparing the flock.
(30) Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things. to draw away disciples after them.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Brethren, as humans, from the foundation of the world, we were created to be responsible species; in an inference: Adam and Eve were created by our Father, placed in the garden of Eden to dress, keep it, and gave them instructions, that of every tree of the garden they may eat freely except tree of the knowledge of good and evil; this is a responsibility to obey; not only that, but he also made it clear to them, of the consequences of disobedience to his words. cf. Genesis 2:15-17; furthermore, Adam was given another responsibility, to name all the animals species created by our Father, cf. Genesis 2:19-20; but the question is, did Adam lived up to all his expectations?
Adam did not! but listened to the deception of the devil, assimilate and followed through with his lies over the words of our Father; and as the result, iniquities prevailed over the world, until Jesus Christ came into the world, died on the cross to save humanity from bondage of iniquities, rose again from the dead, grant salvation, free grace, and eternal lives to all those who believe in him. cf John 3:16; therefore, whatever talents were given to humanity, duties and responsibilities we have to perform for the benefit of others; let us do all things without grumblings or nonchalant behaviors, but rather with zealous, and enthusiasts, know that our services are not for one another alone, to we also serve Jesus Christ, through our services to one another: also, the eyes of the LORD oversees the world, to behold our works, whether good or evil; someday, before the throne of grace, everyone will account for their works on earth; therefore, let us serve the Lord faithfully, diligently, and with joyfulness of hearts; for there are greater rewards in heavenly places for our works, and of course, consequences for misusing the gifts, or not utilizing them for the benefits of others.cf. Matthew 25, for the biblical points of views.
In the above text, overseers of churches, within the body of Christ, are encouraged to take care of themselves, and the congregations over which the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit anointed, appointed, officiated them to oversee his purposes: preach his words, feed spiritually hungry souls, believers whom Jesus Christ redeemed from darkness into marvelous his lights, with his own blood; for there are wolves in sheep clothing, satanic agents, disguised as believers, within congregations, but working the works of evil, in the name of Jesus Christ, against the body of Christ, in an efforts to lure believers back into their old ways in the world of darkness; therefore, as we serve Jesus Christ, let us beware of what goes on within our vicinities, not take what we perceive for granted, but pray, preach truthful words, that transforms lives, cast away the traces of evil works from congregations.
Dearly beloved, though we may think otherwise, that we intellectually acquired positions ourselves or through merits, does not need to be supervised, or be told what to do; let us know that there is an authority, above all authorities, who oversees all the affairs of both heaven and earth; secular, faith establishments, including domestic affairs; this person's name is Jesus; the name above all names, the shepherd of all shepherds, Master of all masters, Lord of all Lords; who lives and reigns forevermore; therefore, everyone born unto earth, has a responsibility to perform under his jurisdiction, whether bond or free; it does not make a difference, on the judgement day, we will account for our works on earth before his throne; therefore, overseers, in the secular or faith establishments, everywhere on planet earth, let us make sure that we do the will of Jesus Christ, faithfully, diligently, with lot of love, integrities, work his good works, receive greater rewards, crown of glories in heavenly places forever and evermore. Amen and Amen!
QUOTES OF THE DAY:
