(KJV.) ST LUKE 22:3-6
(3) Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
(4) And he went his way, and communed with the chief priest and captains, how he might betray him into them.
(5) And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.
(6) And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
HONESTY PAYS!
Brethren, very interestingly, many believers in the faith of the righteousness of our Father through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior; when in sufferings, have tendencies of doubts, of how things will turn around positively from negative situations; when in sufferings the enemy infiltrates thought processes with doubts that there are no hopes of restorations; the devil is a liar!; Jesus conquered the world by his death and resurrection, granted victory to humanity: saved or unsaved the same; however, humanity needs to saved to walk in his victory; therefore, when in sufferings, let us pray fervently, surrender our problems completely unto him, walk in victory, be overcomers trust and believe that it is well; think positively, cast away negative thoughts; but rather be thankful to our Father, sing songs of praises to him, read and listen to his words, control our tongues in what we relate to others about our circumstances, but cast our fears on Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, allow him to take absolute control of our lives.
In today's chapter, feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, also known as the Passover; that means the people will gather themselves together for activities pertaining to the feast; that is when elders like to display their authorities over their people; therefore, the chief priests and scribes sought to kill Jesus to please the people; not knowing that the power to kill him was not in their hands, but was given to them from above, because the time has come for prophesies concerning Jesus Christ to be fulfilled entirely; therefore, Satan entered into Judas Iscariot, the twelve disciple, used him to do his evil works, betrayed Jesus to the authorities for thirty pieces of silver; Satan thought that when Jesus is killed, the glory of our Father will terminate on earth, he will continue to pester with souls forever; but Satan was wrong, when Jesus was killed, he rose up again from the dead and that was beginning of Christianity; today, through Christendom, Jesus is reconciling the whole world unto himself; believers, let us be ware and spiritual, we cannot be lukewarm Christians; the devil knows who is in spirit, and who to use when ready to cause havoc among brethren, despite facts that we are believers does not mean that we are in spirits; when we claim to be saved, but are not truthful, participate in works of darkness, we can fool everyone, but we cannot fool Jesus Christ; let us be truthful in all our ways, honesty pays!
Though Judas, was with Jesus during his ministry for three years, heard his words, his hearts was not completely transformed in his righteousness; but remain carnal, and unfaithful in all his ways; therefore, this is an example, that, many are called but few are chosen; many have been saved, but few may enter into the kingdom of heaven; let us be careful, carnal minds does not lead souls into eternity but to damnation; Judas allowed his carnal mind to overshadow the righteousness of our Father in him, led himself into damnation; he exchanged money for the life of Jesus Christ, lost his position as a disciple; when Jesus was arrested and condemned, Judas regretted his evil behavior, brought again the thirty pieces of silver to chief priests and elders, when they refused to accept the money back, he cast down in the temple departed, went and hang himself, died shamefully; what a shameful way to die!; Judas condemned himself and lost eternity; as believers, let us watch our actions and behaviors towards one another; when we allow enviness, strives, divisions are jealous of one another, carnalities prevails against our souls, and are in flesh, because we mind things of flesh; therefore, let us be in spirit, for to be carnally minded is death but spiritually mindedness is life and everlasting peace.
CONCLUSION:
Dearly beloved, we live in the world of darkness, let us watch out for temptations of the devil; he is always looking for lukewarm believers, use his craftiness to bring temptations and condemnations upon their lives, to points whereby believers will fall from grace to grass; beware!; temptations do come to each and every believer, even unbelievers; but if we are in spirit enough to discern his evil ways, rebuke him, he will flee away, victory is ours through death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior forever and evermore. Amen and Amen!
QUOTE OF THE DAY:
(KJV.) St. Mark 14: 10-11: And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priest, to betray him unto them. And when they heart it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.
