(KJV.) ROMANS 6:16
(16) Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness?
GUIDE US O' LORD!
Grace be unto you! King David wrote; "Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me." cf Psalm 119:133; therefore, it is the words of God, that guides the footsteps of each and every soul; everything we do in this world, is based upon words; for example, in the beginning, Jesus was the word, God created the heavens and the earth with Jesus as his words, cf. John I:1-5; after creation, he gave Adam and Eve instructions by his word, he gave Moses his words for the children of Israel; he gave Abraham his words, to get thee out of his country, Noah to build an ark, by his words etc.; today, God is still speaking through the voice of the Holy Spirit; but the thing is, whenever he instructs his children in any type of way, he gives them the chance to make their own decisions, as to obey or not to obey his words: either way, we may receive his blessings or repercussions.
First of all, there are two voices which contend, one against the another in our lives; the number one voice, is the voice of the Holy Spirit, if obeyed, leads souls into the goodness and mercies of Jesus Christ; therefore, let's listen attentively to the words we hear momentarily, determine what is being said, whether it is of negative or positive nature, before we react, if not sure, always refer to the scriptures for references, there are many examples to read about what happened to others in past generations, to relate to the authenticity of what we heard, after the research, if the words turn out to be the words of deceptions, cast them away; sing songs of praise to God: the second voice, normally will speak his words with pressuring forces, pushing human thoughts against the bricks, to act upon words as quickly as possible, without second thoughts, these are the words of demonic infiltrations spirits, which provokes souls to walk into ungodliness; therefore, whenever we hear voices speaking to us, think carefully, ask few questions; if I do this, what will be the end result, will it be positive or negative result? The answer is, if, of the positive, it is the will of Jesus and his righteousness, on the other hand, if, of the negative, let's look the other way, the enemy is at work to bring condemnation upon our souls.
Beloved, to obey Jesus Christ, at times, a believer has to make a choice on what to do with his words; it is the choices, that a soul make in a lifetime, that determines the outcome of the future of that soul; therefore, in every endeavor, it is the right thing to pray about things, think about our thoughts wisely, if not sure of any type of decision, enquire from the Holy Spirit, about his words, if we act upon his words; obviously, goodness and mercies of Jesus Christ will follow us all the days of our lives; therefore, let us obey his words, and love one another as ourselves!
