(KJV.) 1 PETER 2:4
(4) To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious.
PRECIOUS!
Grace be unto you! Jesus paid a bloody price, for sinners to come to repentance, have salvation, free grace, and eternal lives; if the son of God, had to pay a price to set you and me free from the past, present, and future trespasses; guess what? there is also a price for believers, who Jesus calls, chooses, and glorifies for his works.
Though Jesus was a son of God, who came down from heaven to preach the kingdom message, and was the foundational, cornerstone for Christianity; his own people did not believe his words, but rejected him as the son of God, throughout his ministration, he was persecuted, and accused of doing his Father's will on the Sabbath days.cf Luke 13:14-15; after his sufferings, death on the cross, resurrection, ascension into heaven, his disciples took over his ministry, spread the gospel abroad; at the end of their lives, many of his disciples were martyred, crucified likewise. cf. Acts 7:59; therefore, if we are called to do the will of Jesus Christ; directly or indirectly, there is a price to pay in other to focus entirely on the call; inferentially, every assignment has its price ticket, the cost involve to pay to do the assignment, what one needs to do, give up, walk away from to focus on the assignment; some price tags are more expensive to absorbs than others, depending upon the assignment; the higher the cost, the more intensive the dedication, duties and responsibilities.
Saints, though Jesus was a deity, he forsook all things, sometime during his ministration; he said to a certain man; foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but a Son man hath not where to lay his head. cf. Luke 9:58; therefore, as believers, doing the will of Jesus, our rewards are not earthly but eternal; even if we suffer, rejections, reviles, reproaches, pay not attention to enemies, retaliate, evil for evil, rather, do good to them that hate you; there are crowns of glories waiting in heaven for those who will overcome all things to finish their callings, we are precious in the eyes of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Continue ye in love! Peace be unto you! Amen and Amen!
WORD OF WISDOM:
(KJV.) Proverbs 17:8 A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth.
