(KJV.) 1 TIMOTHY 6:6-8
(6) But godliness with contentment is great gain.
(7) For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
(8) And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
YES, LORD!
Grace be unto you! To do the will of Jesus Christ, walk in his righteousness, is profitable than the wealth and riches of this world; King Solomon the preacher said, all the things of this world are vanity of vanities. Eccl. 1:2: God blessed King Solomon with wisdom, riches, and honor beyond measures, yet because of the lust of the flesh, God turned his eyes away from him, at the end of his life, the King became a preacher, spoke against the wealth and riches of this world, as vanity and vexation of spirits, nonsense and unprofitable under the sun. Eccl. 2:11; therefore, as we are the blessed of Jesus Christ, let us not forget, forsake the giver of the blessings to backslide into too many enjoyments, lose salvation and life everlasting; rather, share the blessings with others.
Think of it this way, we came into this world in nakedness, everything we have in this world is the blessings of Jesus Christ; some people are blessed more than others, that is alright! be happy for them; so long as there is a breath of life running through the heart muscles, there is hope for an abundance of blessings; therefore, let us be happy and satisfied with today's blessings, better yet keep on doing good works, love and serve one another, more will be added unto you. cf. Luke 12:31.
Saints, this is a matter of perspectives; let us change our perspectives on how we view life; life is not necessarily about wealth and riches, life is about love, kindness, serving, sharing, inspiring and encouraging one another; bearing the fruits of righteousness; don't get me wrong, we need to enjoy life, but not to the extent of strives, bear animosities, grouch against one another, worry, have anxieties to acquire worldly material possessions that perish away with the wind; Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity! Peace be unto you! Amen and Amen!
WORD OF WISDOM:
(KJV.) Ecclesiastes 1:14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit.
