(KJV.) ST. LUKE 1:46-48
(46) And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
(47) And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior.
(48) For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Brethren, when praises goes up, blessings must come down; when the virgin Mary received the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ, she rose up and went to share the news with her cousin Elizabeth; when she arrived there, immediately Elizabeth raised her voice, and said; Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb..... cf. Luke 1:42-45; therefore, when the glory of the Lord rises upon our lives, we do not have to prove to the world, that we are of our Father, the world will perceive his shining lights, and join us to glorify our Father in Heaven; today, the anointing oils from Jesus Christ, is following into our lambs, let us rise up, go into the world, and share the good news of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous lights, that the Lord and Savior of the world, Jesus Christ is born!
In reference to the above text, when Elizabeth blessed Mary, then, Mary sang the song of praises to our Father, said, (i) My soul doth magnify the Lord; she intensified her praises to uplift, glorify our Father, for what he has done, appreciation time; therefore, as believers, whenever we receive the blessings of Jesus Christ, it does not matter how big or small they may be, let us be content, appreciate what was given out of love, thank the givers from the bottom of our hearts.
(ii) furthermore, Mary said, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior: let us analyze this statement, she said, her spirit had rejoiced in our Father her Savior; meaning, her spirit had already rejoiced in our Father, you see! everything that we receive physically on earth, first of all, had to be dealt with through the spirits, and when we receive them from the spirits, they are ours to keep forevermore; for, the gifts and callings of our Father, are without repentance. cf. Romans 11:29; therefore, if we have received the blessings and callings of Jesus Christ, we are marked for his glory forevermore; not only that but Mary mentioned of our Father as her Savior; but what do that mean? it means, she was chosen among women, sanctified, set aside as a vessel for the birth of Jesus Christ; therefore, she was saved from among the women on the earth: believers are chosen vessels, sanctified, set aside for good works within the world of darkness; therefore, let us work our salvation with fear, tremblings, receive earthly and heavenly blessings, significant names forevermore.
(iii) Mary continued to glorify our Father, saying, For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: "low estate?"; Yes! Mary considered herself as a regular woman, among women, however, our Father did not think so, about Mary; but choose her to carry his baby, her soul was uplifted from the low estate unto higher estate, up to the mountaintop of glory, and given the name blessed; therefore, no matter what our present conditions may be, let us not lose hope in Jesus Christ that he able to turn things around favorably, but rather continue to pray fervently, give thanks to our Father for victory, for, he has a way of uplifting souls from downcast estates onto higher grounds, he takes what the world categorises as unworthy, turns them around, makes them worthy for his glorification; today, he will do it for those of us who are in the low estates, he did for Mary, and she said, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed: and it is so!
Therefore, whenever we receive positive proclamations from others, regarding our lives or the lives of others; let us receive it with good faith, established it with the word Amen, seal it off from the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ; for the angel of the Lord called Mary blessed, cf. Luke 1:28, Elizabeth called her blessed, cf. Luke 1:42, she embraced her title with good faith, and it is so, until present times, though Mary is in heaven, her name is associated with blessed forevermore: today, there are many blessed men and women in the body of Christ, let us be fully aware of who we are in him, embrace our callings with good faiths, serve Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior wholeheartedly, love, be kind and respectful of one another as ourselves: we are blessed in Jesus Name! Amen and Amen!
