DAILY BREAD OF LIFE

(KJV.)  ST. MATTHEWS 5:43-45

(43)  Ye have heard that it hath been said,  THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR, and hate thine enemy.
(44)  But I say unto you,  Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
(45)  That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven:  for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

LOVE YOUR ENEMIES!

Brethren, in the above passage of scripture, Jesus ministered to the multitude on the perfect love of God the Father;  saying not to hate our enemies, but rather love them;  unfortunately, too many of us, find this positive reaction to negative behaviors of others very difficult to assimilate, for one reason or the other, we tend to hang on to past offenses of others, bring into subjection every day of our lives.

What we need to discern is, each and every soul wake up in the mornings by the grace of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior,  we see ourselves lay down to sleep, but no one knows for sure what happens to our souls throughout the night, until the mornings, when his spirit awaken our mortal bodies back to life;  many people go to sleep at night, but never wake up again the next mornings: consequently, we live by the grace of Jesus Christ, if so, it is imperative that we extend his grace to others as well; love our enemies.

Case in point, what people might have said, or done to hurt our feelings; whether their negative behaviors were intentional to hurt our feelings or unintentionally done, as believers, count it all joy, it should not matter at all, "let go, let God, love still.";  the blood of Jesus paid for all past, present, and future sins;  he says,  Love them still, bless them though they curse you, be kind, do good to them, though they may hate you, and when people use you for profitable reasons, but turn around and discredit, defame your names, characters, never pay them back evil for evil, but good for evil, serve them still with joyfulness of heart; for we do all things through Jesus Christ, not by our own might, for recognitions and applauses of men;  therefore, let us pray for haters, that the Holy Spirit will transform their behaviors from evil works into good works.

The amazing grace is, God the Father, who sees all the affairs of human heart, and knows what we do to one another in this world, who we are in the spirits, yet, he does not select who enjoys his daily sustenance, at least not yet, until that fateful day when trumpets shall sound in heavenly places; he causes the sun to shine on the evil and good, sends the rain upon the just and unjust souls; his goodness and mercies endures forever; therefore, there is no reason to hate anyone in this world, rather love one another as God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever will believeth in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. cf. John 3:16. if so, let us not hate enemies, but love them with the love of God the Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

CONCLUSION:

Dearly beloved, at times this question puzzles me, "why do believers who are called to transform the world with the gospel, shine as lights to bring souls out of darkness into the marvelous light of Jesus Christ, find the time to hate one another?"  this should not be so!  believers, let us lay aside our differences, come together as one body and work for the purification of our souls.  Peace and love be unto you!  Amen and Amen!
