(KJV.) 1 CORINTHIANS 6:15-17
(15) Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of a harlot? God forbid.
(16) What? know ye not that he which is joined to a harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
(17) But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
THE LUSTFULNESS!
Brethren, we live in a world full of lustfulness, wherever we tread on earth, there are distractions, to fleshly temptations, to indulge in ungodliness; thought of it, it seems like no one really cares or have a solution to what is going in this world, what we perceive, how we feel about what is going around the globe on daily basis, though there seems to be no resolution forthcoming; individually, we can affect positives changes, starting from our own hearts, self-awareness, how we interact with others, within family and friendship circles, faith establishments, and into the secular world of darkness; if anyone should ask, what shall we do about things of this world? there is an answer, Jesus is the answer! he is in charge of the entire heavens and earth; therefore, let's turn to him with the issues of his own jurisdiction, seek his guidance to life.
In the above text, Apostle Paul, ministers to believers, not to sexually interact with unbelievers, why? first of all, our bodies are the temple of the Lord, the Holy Spirit lives within us, 1 Cor. 3:16; therefore, let us be careful of what goes in and out of our bodies, what our bodies interact with on daily basis; resist things that defile, contaminates the spirits, such as strong alcoholic beverages which lead to drunkenness, sexual immoralities which damages the body, evaporates the power of the Holy Spirit; sexual perversion, which is the abnormal means of gaining sexual satisfaction, etc.; let us resist temptations to indulge in sexual immoralities with people we really do not know or associate with, because of uncontrollable sexual desires, we cannot close our eyes to what we perceive in this world, but we can resist the temptations to engage ourselves in ungodliness, focus on the journey of righteousness: secondly, believers or unbelievers we are joint together as one in the Spirit 1 Cor. 12:13; so, what we do with our bodies to hurt our spirits, can reflect on the spirit of others; the point is, "Show me your friend, I will show you your character."; and "Bird of the same feathers flock together."; therefore, let us know what is required of us in the world of darkness; let us be holy, holiness matters!
CONCLUSION:
Dearly, Beloved, Sex was made by God to enjoy in the Holy Matrimony, there is nothing wrong with its enjoyment if done within the perimeters of God, at certain points of our lives, we might have carried the guilt of sexual immorality; Jesus is saying, that's alright!, let it go now, don't do it anymore; you are redeemed of the Lord; therefore, let us walk in holiness, resist the temptations of sexual immorality, stay sanctified unto the Holy Spirit, perform miracles, signs, and wonders in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Peace be unto you! Amen and Amen!
